Nice amber orange colour, rather flat aroma, a bit of lemon. Hoppy taste some caramel but not sweet (for such a high amount of alcohol). Aftertaste a bit bitter. Good but not exceptional beer .

Draft at BXL East. Pours clear gold with a thick foamy white head. Aroma is yeast-forward with notes of booze and hops. Taste is Belgian yeast, hops, spice, fruit with warming alcohol notes. An interesting balance between the hops and yeast, but the yeast and booziness come through more in the finish. Definitely can taste the 9.5% ABV.

UPDATED: JUN 10, 2013 I like the cartoon characters on the labels. The beer has a strong 9.5% and is obvious with a strong bitterness. With a name like Hop-It i was thinking the beer would taste a lot different, maybe more like a IPA sort of style. It reminded me more of a Belgian Blonde instead. If drinking as a session beer the bitterness can get over powering.

Bottle@home. Golden clear. Small head with a quick evaporation. Faint clove and clover green grassy notes. Alcoholic taste and medium mouthfell. Not very spicy or complex. Strong!!

750ml served into a tripel karmeliet tulip. Production code 11:44 K11D7 A - Pours a glowing burnt orange with sediment floating about. A dainty creamy head shows off for a minute or two. Not an impressive head for the style at first but retains very well. S - Over ripened pear and melon, some white wine aroma, mild Gorgonzola cheese, floral notes, brie cheese. T - Floral and spice swims in a sugary malt. Yeast adds a roundness of brie-like funk. In fact it reminds me very much of brie. Funky tropical fruit, mango, pineapple, and some earthy peach are very present. A candy-like alcohol flavor comes through as it warms. M - Light to medium body, carbonation is very smooth. Not sure how old this is but this is the first time I’ve had the joy of drinking this fine nectar, so I have nothing to compare it to. Not alot of bitterness but very complex mix of musty tropical fruit and an extraordinary yeast profile. This was like pairing tropical fruit with brie. Very nice. Serving type: bottle 04-30-2012

Leuven. Beauty of a pour into Duvel glass. Slightly hazy medium orange-gold with huge white head. Calming, potpourri-hop aroma entices - Euro hop goodness. Hops actually really help balance how huge this beer is - keeps the viscosity in check and rounds out the flavor and mouthfeel nicely. Maybe still a bit too thick for me, but really enjoyed this.

Bardzo dobre, swietnie zbalansowane na granicy slodyczy i gozkosci. Selekcja najlepszych odmian chmielu sprawila ze to piwo jest bardzo wytrawne. Piekna i puszysta piana lekkie zbetnienie i babelki wszystko to sprawia ze piwo sie ladnie prezentuje w pokalu. A smak jest dobry tresciwy i chmielny. Alkohol ukryty, nawet finisz wspanialy. Ciekawa etykieta. Po prostu piwo bardzo dobrej jakosci.

Cerveja excepcional, frutados em combinação com um suave amargor , muito sabor e aroma a disposição dos apaixonados por ótimas cervejas.

Pours a hazy golden yellow color with a frothy sticky white head. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar, and some yeast esthers. Taste is brown sugar, spicy yeast, caramel and yeast. A very smooth beer for 9.5 percent, excellent belgian strong.
