3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Re-rate - just to reiterate - this had the absolute best head that i have ever witnessed! Poured with a HUGE shaving cream/merengue pie head. I could only pour in a little at a time - and as I poured over the head, it did NOT move or disapate! Big time aroma of fresh ’Bazooka Joe’ bubble gum, complete with that powdered sugar. A bit of that taste carried thru, along with anise and a dark malt flavor. A very strong hop finished this nicely.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clean copper body with a rather creamy off-white head. Somewhat sweet and at times wine-like on the nose. Very nutty and sweet with a somewhat tugging bitterness on the sides of the tongue.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Raisin and mango in the aroma. Sweet, yeasty flavor with licorice and just a bit of apple sourness. Relatively thin. Too sweet and onedimensional to make a real impression.

Too bitter for a brown ale to my taste. The west coast folks might like this one! Very different than the other two Urthel beers. Have only had one so far and will re-rate after the next few. Now in NJ.
