Brewed under direction of Hildegard van Ostaden, formerly at Van Steenberge, now at Koningshoeven - La Trappe brewery.
With its rich foam, hoppy flavour and fine bitterness, Urthel Vlaemse Bock is a special ale with a high drinkability for lovers of the authentic Flemish brewing art. Vlaemse Bock as originally brewed for the winter, but is now available in 33 cl. (330 ml./ 11.2 FL.OZ.), 75 cl. (750 ml./1 PT. 9.4 FL. OZ.) and kegs the whole year. pours a murky brownish red, with a huge tan head i just finally got past the head and got to taste it. the aroma smells of sweet caramel and kinda fruity. This is a pretty good dubbel, it has a nice balance and very drinkable.

Bottle. Dark brown pour with a huge brownish white head. Malty aroma with some hops in the back ground. Malty flavor which covered the alcohol well. Pretty good.

Smellf pretty nice I suppose. Some chocolaty notes. Flavor is stronger in terms of alcohol than I’d like. Mostly an indistinct beer, nothing amazingly good or bad.
