Swalden28 (1439), McKinney, Texas, USA Jun 26, 2008 11.2 OZ Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in Plano, TX.
Pours a cloudy brown/orange with beige head that appears to be lacing the glass....Aroma has a nice yeasty character, kinda a mix between orange and caramel malt with slight roastiness..Flavor has fruit notes along with a sweet malt taste. Med. Carbonation with full body....I like this stuff!!!!!!! mtdshn (174), Moline, Illinois, USA Jun 25, 2008 Bomber. Poured a dark mahogany with a large coffee/cream head. Some wine characteristics in the nose, but mostly sweet malt. Flavor is surprisingly light for a dubbel, leaning on towards the fruity and sweet side. Really pleasing and easy to drink. ilovedarkbeer (1326), Dallas, Texas, USA Jun 11, 2008 pours a hazy reddish orange brown color with a small light brown head that shrinks quickly. Nose is booze, red wine, a bit of soy sauce that is somewhat salty. Taste is cherries, booze, and is pretty acidic. Not bad but misses on quite a few levels. renffisch (496), london, Greater London, England Jun 9, 2008 stole a bit of harrisoni at the rake. Stank of yeast, badly. dark reddish brown, beige creamy head. Candy sugar galore. awfully too sweet. he DID pick the worst beer of the evening... harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Jun 6, 2008 Bottle at The Rake, Borough Market. Very deep red/brown with thick beige head. Belgian yeast aroma. Lots of candy sugar. Bit of choc, bit of unsubtle unintegrated flavours. I should have had something else. note666 (282), Eindhoven, Netherlands Jun 2, 2008 330 ml bottle. dark brown colour. creme head. taste is dark... like a good autum beer GonZoBeeR (2156), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada May 31, 2008 Aroma:plum,fig,caramel....

dalepryor (172), Paducah, Kentucky, USA May 26, 2008 pours a murky brownish red, with a huge tan head i just finally got past the head and got to taste it. the aroma smells of sweet caramel and kinda fruity. This is a pretty good dubbel, it has a nice balance and very drinkable.
