UPDATED: SEP 10, 2013 pours a bright golden blond with a tall white head, excellent retention and lacing. aroma of bread, biscuity malts, funky yeast, candi. medium hopped - citrus-grapefruit bite. lively, medium to full body, oily and sticky. dry and citrusy medium long finish. great brew!

JanLaursen (3227) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 7, 2011
Straw golden beer, a little hazy, with small but frothy white head. Aroma is very likable: Grainy malts and floral citrusy hops, spicy with a little tart note and a touch of bubblegum. Taste is medium sweet with a rather edgy medium hoppy finish. Medium body, oily mouthfeel with average carbonation. Very likeable, all though not quite up there with the best best Belgian blondes.

33cl bottle. Pours a cloudy lemon colour with a thin head which mostly holds. The nose has floral notes, lemon and vanilla custard and malt. The taste has lemon tart over the top of a malt background, then a nettley finish. The palate has big structure, a big tangy texture and a tangy clean finish. Overall, this is a gorgeous beer which defies the lower than usual for Belgian alcohol levels.

Light orange coloured and unclear. Has a white head, medium duration. Sharp hoppy aroma, faint sulfur too. Flavor is mainly bitter, a bit watery too. Dry texture and lively carbonation.

Cornfield (5570) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JUL 27, 2011
From the bottle this poured a slightly hazed yellow body with a huge, large bubbled head that rapidly collapsed into a ring with some film. The aroma was perfumey floral scents, a touch of pale malt, and a hint of alcohol. Fairly lively mouthfeel. The flavor had a quiet malt and soft fruit sweetness balanced by a solid pepper and floral bitterness. Dry finish. Pretty tasty and refreshing.

Serving: Draft at Thirsty Monk. It pours a pale yellow. Honey suckle nose. Light sweetness with a touch of grains and florals on the palate. Smooth and a little fuller bodied than a saison. Pretty good!

(Bottled)a sea of yellow ...a sky of white cream....a garden in springtime...a zesty fruit basket ...a dry peppery sweet potency ...

Bottle at Øl og matfestivalen. Cloudy yellow color, big white head that disappears. Light aroma of yeast, pepper and lemon, while taste is fruity and sweet with a lasting yeast taste. Not the greatest finish, but overall a nice beer.

Hazy blond color; high carbonation; huge head. The aroma is lightly spicy, but also a bit soapy. The mouthfeel is quite dry, mostly because of the strong bitterness and evident spices (coriander); but overall there is not much more. Quite chaotic.

2010-04-02, tasting at Papsø, 6-3-6-2-11=28
Hazy blond color; big head. Delicate aroma, crispy bread and coriander. Spicy (coriander) flavor, with citrusy hints, but weak body and light flavor too. Not characteristic as a Saison, just a simple, spicy Ale
