3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy orange, foamy white head. Smells grainy, with subtle spice notes in the background. Flavor is lightly spicy, and some wheaty notes, I get a little white wine notes, as well. Maybe some caraway seeds in there, as well.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm) Cloudy yellow colour with rocky, white head. Malty nose with hay, grass, grain and lemon. Quite harsh. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of grain, grass, citrus and generous amounts of earthy, spicy hops in a dry, bitter finish. More than medium body, dry and refreshing. Excellent saison character. Lovely beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours hazy pale yellow with a huge pillowy white head. The aroma has pale-ish malt, pepper, powder, floral traits, chamomile, hints of pepper, some spice, but of sweetness and syrup. Medium / thin crisp sharp body with very sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with all of the aroma traits, but not a sweet and on the spicier side along with some spicy and piny hops. The finish is very powdery and floral with lingering spicy hops. Very nice saison.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottled) Clear golden (opaque with yeast) with a small, but firm and lacy head. Sourish-wheaty-grainy-pale malty nose with some honeyish sweetness, and a lightly spicy feel. Flavor is quite grainy-malty with some pear-like acidity, herby-pilsenery hops, but lacking complexity. Light to medium body, quite soft carbonation. The aroma promised something better, but this was quite empty and acidic after all. This could as well have a La Trappe label on it, since it’s prety much the same stuff. 3344

From a bottle at Stone 14th Anniversary - I wish I had had the experience that many other reviewers have had here, but the green bottle let enough light into the sample that I tasted to make it skunky. Which is too bad because the stuff around that skunkiness tasted promising. Why in the world does any brewer use green or clear bottles in this day and age? FAIL
