A great example of a Belgian Blonde ale, much fresher than most belgians you find in the US, more up to par with what you’d get in Belgium. Slight banana fruit on the nose with some noble hop aroma. Flavor is of pils malt, wheat, spicy hops and Belgianesque type yeast. Finish is dry and hoppy. Give this one a try!

(Rating #3655)

Poured from bottle in original Urhtel glass. Shows a hazy, yellow colour with a nice firm white head that leaves good lacing on the glass. Little carbonation and little aroma of spices and malt. Mouthfeel has a solid bite to it, thanks to the many different spices in the flavours. Finished off with a nice bitterness, this is a good thirst quencher and easy to drink.

Bottle at the Bayou. Pours a cloudy bright orange color with a thick white head. The aroma is lemons, some oranges and sweet sugary malts. The flavor is very smooth; tasty light sweet malts, some citrus and light spices. Dry and a nice soft palate.

Reminiscent of De Ranke XX bitter. Some saison breadiness and citrus notes. The dominant flavors are the spicy / earthy hops and belgian yeast.

Cloudy light golden with a terrific pillowtop head in this tulip. Nice retention, modest lacing is present here. You can smell the sweet bread on the nose, but there is of course the hay and a bit of fruit, like peach. Initially bitter, but certainly sweet as well. Lemon grass, herbals, peaches, sweet bready malts - I think this is a great belgian ale - thirst quenching sums it up for me.

Appearance: slightly murky light gold with a fluffy white head that fades to a collar; excellent residual lacing. Aroma: a little barnyard skunky/funky; lots of citrus and spice, yeast and cloves. Taste: slightly sour and tangy, with a blast of cloves, citrus and crisp light grains to follow. Finish: tangy, slightly sweet and sour. Notes :Pretty good. On the clovey side.

Bottle: Poured a hazy golden color ale with a nice thick foamy head with good retention and some very good lacing. Aroma consists of fruity ester with dry Belgian-style malt base. Taste is a nice mix between some dry-Belgian-style malt with nice fruity ester and dry hoppy finish. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Very nice drinking Belgian ale with nice complexity but still good drinkability factor.
