Ingredients: Water, Barley malt, Wheat (20%), Sugar, Yeast.
First brewed in November 2009. Top-fermented blond bottle conditioned beer. Urthel Saisonnière has a wide range of rich aromas and a subtle bitter taste. at 6.0% abv it is a thirst-quenching beer with a "bite". It produces a beautiful foam head due to the 20% of wheat. To fully enjoy Urthel Saisonnière, first pour half the bottle, then give it a twist (3x) to release the yeast and the wheat from the bottom and then pour the rest of the bottle into the glass.

Cloudy light golden with a terrific pillowtop head in this tulip. Nice retention, modest lacing is present here. You can smell the sweet bread on the nose, but there is of course the hay and a bit of fruit, like peach. Initially bitter, but certainly sweet as well. Lemon grass, herbals, peaches, sweet bready malts - I think this is a great belgian ale - thirst quenching sums it up for me.

Appearance: slightly murky light gold with a fluffy white head that fades to a collar; excellent residual lacing. Aroma: a little barnyard skunky/funky; lots of citrus and spice, yeast and cloves. Taste: slightly sour and tangy, with a blast of cloves, citrus and crisp light grains to follow. Finish: tangy, slightly sweet and sour. Notes :Pretty good. On the clovey side.

Bottle: Poured a hazy golden color ale with a nice thick foamy head with good retention and some very good lacing. Aroma consists of fruity ester with dry Belgian-style malt base. Taste is a nice mix between some dry-Belgian-style malt with nice fruity ester and dry hoppy finish. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Very nice drinking Belgian ale with nice complexity but still good drinkability factor.

11.2 fl oz bottle from Bieropholie, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. K18A10.

App.: Clear golden with a nice, bright white foam. Aroma: A lot of yeast with grassy wet hay and wheat, fruity with nice esters, sweet biscuity malts, a little lemony coriander, hints of hops, pleasant. Palate: Medium body with fairly full, velvety effervescence. Flav.: A bit more hoppy with some bitter green notes, still a decent amount of yeast, some earthy, citrusy coriander, less fruity/estery than the nose, some toasted grains, bread crust and biscuit, interesting juxtaposition to the nose; off-dry with decent bitterness (particularly for a Belgian) and a pleasantly hoppy, lightly malted finish.

Another nice brew from Urthel.

Bottle - 330ml. Hazy blond body with a thin, lasting white foamy/creamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with herbal, flowery, and coriander hints. Its sharp hoppy taste carries coriander notes and ends with a long bitter/herbal finish. Very good!

Bottle poured a clear golden yellow with a lasting fluffy white head. Aromas of straw, citrus, light yeast and a hint of spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of straw, citus and light yeast with a crisp citrus finish.

0.33l bottle. Pours a semi clear straw golden body with a one-fingersize bubbly white head. Aroma is yeasty with orange zest, slightly spicy, white sugar and a hint of tobacco. Medium+ carbonation, slightly oily texture and medium bodied. A bit unbalanced perhaps. Slightly tarty and grapefruit-sour with a quite hop-bitter ending and a almost pepper-bitter aftertaste. Tastes OK and all that, but a bit boring perhaps.

Cloudy pale yellow colour. A touch of banana and sulphur in the aroma. Medium bodied. Nice level of hop sharpness is balanced against a underlying sweetness. Clean, bitter finish.

Pours bright yellow with a massive head. Has some spice notes on the nose. The taste is metallic and chalky. Not very refreshing. Has a weird finish. Leaves a lot of lacing in the glass.
