Unfiltered in bottle, filtered in keg.
Ingredients: Water, Barley malt, Wheat (20%), Sugar, Yeast.
First brewed in November 2009. Top-fermented blond bottle conditioned beer. Urthel Saisonničre has a wide range of rich aromas and a subtle bitter taste. at 6.0% abv it is a thirst-quenching beer with a "bite". It produces a beautiful foam head due to the 20% of wheat. To fully enjoy Urthel Saisonničre, first pour half the bottle, then give it a twist (3x) to release the yeast and the wheat from the bottom and then pour the rest of the bottle into the glass.

(330 ml bottle from Bootleggers) Pours lightly hazy golden with a pillowy but even fluffy white head. Aroma is lightly fruity with notes of clove, yeast, spice and caramel. Palate is light and soft with a bit of fizz. Flavor of light caramel with clove, light fruit and yeast. Vaguely citrusy/tangy. Medium-bitter bite in finish. Refreshing and saison-like. Not sure why it wouldn’t be classified as such.

The aroma is phenomenal, like a wheat beer with sweet bready notes, like a pure German hefe. The color is very light straw with a nice foamy head. The flavor is like a wheaty saison that is so smooth. There are subtle spices and sweet notes that also blend perfectly in the flavor.

Pours clear yellow with a massive foamy white head and a floral fruit aroma. There is a crisp clean pale malt flavor that is citrusy and refreshing. A decent saison.

Bottle at Cambrinus in Bruges. Pours gold with a foamy white head. Light aroma of near funk. It’s mildly spicey with the mildest touch of funk. It’s very tasty. Hop over funk (almost).

On tap at Stone Bistro. Hazy golden/orange pour, white head. Aroma is quite sweet... sugar, banana, spice, and belgian yeast. Flavor is much more dry, more spice (black pepper) and floral/herbal character. Saison? Not the best in my opinion.

11.2 oz bottle poured into a Duvel tulip. Nose is peaches, clove with some yeast evident. Sweet is the dominant impression. Pour yielded a light, lemon-colored brew with a large 1 1/2 inch head with good retention and lasting lacing. Carbonation was evident. Taste reveals honey, lemon and cloves but with the funkiness you would expect in a saison. There is a slightly bitter, metalic, dry finish but some citrus stays throughout. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this beer all the way through. This is VERY drinkable, sessionable beer, particularly for a summer day.
