COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unfiltered in bottle, filtered in keg.
Ingredients: Water, Barley malt, Wheat (20%), Sugar, Yeast.
First brewed in November 2009. Top-fermented blond bottle conditioned beer. Urthel Saisonničre has a wide range of rich aromas and a subtle bitter taste. at 6.0% abv it is a thirst-quenching beer with a "bite". It produces a beautiful foam head due to the 20% of wheat. To fully enjoy Urthel Saisonničre, first pour half the bottle, then give it a twist (3x) to release the yeast and the wheat from the bottom and then pour the rest of the bottle into the glass.

Pours amberish with a nice thick, persistent white head. It was quite clear and gassy (a bit too much so) until I chucked the yeast at the bottom of bottle which thickened it in a nice way. Didn’t get an insane amount apart from fruit and a mix of stuff on the nose, but as of taste, oh my. That’s when this thing gets into it’s nature, starts as coriander and sweet malts, then goes through a crazy explosion of yeast and malts and bubblegum and some hops. The flavour carries on in that Belgian mish-mash and dies into some sort of peppery long finish. It is pretty drinkable, I’d call it a session ale after all.

Tap. Yellow orange pour with white head. Herb coriander, hey, caramel and citrus. Medium body. Pretty good

Bottle. Yellow/orange color, large foam. Aromas of dried corn, canned chickpeas, strong citrus aroma that is noticable from across the table. Taste is a little dusty and watery. Corn flavor again, dried oranges. Large bitterness at the end. Aftertaste is cheese (overwhelmingly!), brie, old ripened cheese. Not the best saisonniere I’ve tasted.

Bottle from Drinkswell, Ripon. Pours golden with a white head. Quite spicy with yeasty notes. Some sweetness and caramel notes. Nice enough.

Pale golden. Large foamy white head and good lacing. Refreshing aroma with gras and hay, with a hint of coriander and lime. Fine taste with decent hop bitterness and long aftertaste.

Nice head with fine bubbles. Quite a carbonated beer. Dark yellow colour, yet completely clear. The aroma is dominated by fruit and malt. I’d even dare to say citrus and banana. For the taste, the notes are also fruity with a citrus freshness, few hints of malt. The aftertaste is bitterness. Not much hops in there. Distinctive flemish tradition beer, very nice and refreshing, but according to me lacking the "hop punch" season beer usually have.

Murky yelow color with rich and white persistent head. Mediam carbonation. Fruity aroma, with apple, pear and banana hints; also toffee and malts. Taste is fruity as well, lemon and banana also present, with low malt and pine hints. Bitter aftertaste. Very pleasant and refreshing.

Bottled. 15cl sample. The aroma is slightly cheesy, has some citric fruitiness, some flowery tones, light honey. Hazy, golden coloured with a white head. The taste is likewise the aroma; quite yeasty with citric/floral hoptones. Medium carbonation. Dry, light-medium bodied. Decent style example, but nothing special.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Light straw yellow colour, big white head. A slightly more hoppy version of a saison, and perhaps less dry than some examples. Strong yeasty character, lots of noble hop, then a pleasant bitterness in the finish. Pretty good.

Hazy, clear yellow, citrus fruits smell. Strong attack, bitter finish, lots of character with a nice light sour taste
