[Trade with hopscotch and the Florida Crew, thanks buddy] Large creamy head that mostly lasted. good display of laceworke. light cloudy amber colour. Aroma of prunes, dates, very vinous and almost like good sherry with a solid amount of alcohol. Over the palate came yeat, heavy frute and a solid base of malt. quite full bodied with an average carbonation and thick trxture. Heavy sweet flavour with a hint of bitterness. lingering warming fruity raisins finish. Red currant lingers on the tongue, rowan and lingonberries. A bit of smacking with the tongue reveals the usual marzipan. The warmth of the alcohol penetrates the sweetness of the ale. krysztofar (344), belleville, Illinois, USA

Wet juicy cherry aroma, dense jammy raisin too. Forward with dry wood and rough alcohol. Digging past that I get plum and amber honey but the alcohol continues to fiercely coat all sides of the mouth and ruins the experience. My second attempt at the beer and this was no better.
