Pours a coppery color with a beige head. Aroma of dark fruit, sweet malt, Belgian spice, yeast, and alcohol. Sweet caramel, ripe fruit, and alcohol.

33cl bottle @ Biertempel, Brussels. Pours unclear brown with a small creamy white head and lacings. Nose is yeast, alcohol,sweet, mould and dark fruits. Very heavy - the sweetness and alcohol. Warming and vinous. A sipper . .

Pleasant but faint aroma. Pours fairly light for a quadrupel, with a beige head which quickly dissipated. Fairly carbonated and a very full mouthful with hints of plum and raisin and a strong alcohol taste. Good, warming beer.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2009 Aroma is faint but intriguing and inviting. Head is very full, lots of carbonation. Hazy amber color. Reminds of Rochefort 10! Flavor is full and smooth. Alcohol well hidden for as strong as this is. Great beer.

Cloudy brown with a half-inch white head. Aroma is earthy and spicy malt with a dash of something herbal. Flavor is tangy and fruity with a big alcohol presence. Nice.

Sampled at the Alexi TN distributor’s tasting; thanks Jim Bird! Clear orangish brown pour. Massive alcohol heat on the nose. Sweet alcohol esters, with rum soaked fruits. Definitely needs some aging on this one.

poured a cloudy amber with a beige head and some decent legs. aroma of dark fruits, caramel, and spice. flavor was the same with the addition of alcohol. body was full with high carbonation. not bad but was hoping to be better.
