COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Urthel Samaranth 12 Quadrium Ale is a malty, full-bodied special Ale, brewed in a way that only Belgian Brewers can. Huge mouthfeel and layers and levels of flavor make Urthel Samaranth the perfect beer for the end of a meal or at the finish of a special day. And when you want something different, Urthel Samaranth 12 Quadrium Ale is with its fine bitterness, definitely something different... Try it! First brewed at Van Steenberge, now brewed at Koningshoeven - La Trappe brewery.

Clear darker amber coloured beer with large diminishing off-white head and lots of carbonation. Fruity sweet aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is malty hopped sweet ending dry bitter. Very nice beer.

Nice amber rose color, typical abt like head. Very sweet candy sugar and cherry taste with very apparent alcohol. A bit similar to St. Bernardus 12, but a little fruitier, verging on cough syrup. Definitely not the best quad I’ve tasted, but definitely not the worst. Nice mouthfeel, what I would expect from a quad. A good sipping beer, but I’ll save my money for Rochefort.

bottle while on Celebrity Infinity as part of beer cruise. bottle code K20AM. Ok aroma, sweet, dried fruit, fig/date. minor yeasty notes. Clean brownish orange color, good head that quickly faded, minor lace. Sweet flavor. Thick body, lite creamy mouthfeel, dry sweet finish. Well, not exciting, but a nice rich sweet flavor. good as it rolled around the mouth. wouldn’t of guessed 11% by taste.

(Bottled) I wanna like this cause I dig Urthel’s ales but this is simplistic . Huge malt richness ,without much else as a redemption .

Test vom 26.5.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche
