The perfect beer. Full body with many interesting layers. Taste immediately makes me think of raisins and alcohol. Aroma has hints of raisins as well. Pours with an amazing head.

Reddish orange colour with creamy head. Aroma of caramel, raisins, citrus, dark fruits and hops. Flavour is the same with evident alcohol note, but at the same time is well hidden or discret.

Orangeish to reddish brown hazy beer with beige head leaving lacing. Aroma has alcohol, Belgian yeast, licorice, dark sugar and dark fruits. Flavor has licorice, alcohol, yeast and dark fruits. Palate is full and foamy. Finish has mild bitterness and alcohol. Aftertaste is liqueurish sweet with dark sugar, licorice, figs and yeast. At first this beer was way too boozy, but adding the sediment softened it and made it more enjoyable. Still quite straight-forward and too sweet.

13.10.2014. Dark brown. Sweet aroma with molasses, cacao, cherry, brown sugar. Taste is quite sweet with caramel, cherry, dried fruits, fig, light spice. Tastes a bit too much alcohol.

Biere lourde au goût fort prononcé. On sent fort l’alcool. Goût de malt et de caramel. l’alcool est trop puissant.

Strong taste of alcohol, but it was expected from a beer of 11,5%. Not bad in the genre, but not my kind.

Citrus aroma. Strong alcohol in the mouth. Rather unbalanced in the way that it’s too strong and unrefined.

Hazy dark amber color, medium beige head. Aroma of caramel, malt, ripe fruits, spices, wood. Sweet, lightly dry taste with gently bitter finish. Medium body and average carbonation, warming alcohol touch. Quite good, enjoyed it.

Urthel Samaranth has a thin, cream-colored head, a medium brown, murky appearance, and not much lacing left behind. The aroma is of rich, sweet, candied fruits, such as fig or dates. Lots of bread, as well. Taste is of sweet bread crust, spiced bread, fruits, fruit bread, some bitterness, and brandy notes. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Urthel Samaranth finishes between wet and dry, with a sure alcohol presence. RJT

Pours brown with a large fading head. Nose shows sweet caramel, solvent-like booze, brown sugar and treacle. Sweet and boozy flavour. More brown sugar, booze and some bready malt. A little harsh and boozy.
