3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer will always have a special meaning to me. I shared this beer with my girlfriend on our one year anniversary while dining at the Archer Ale House in Bellingham.
It pours a pretty light brown color, completely clear with a nice thick and dense white head. A big aroma of bread yeast, fruits and spices sneak into my olphactory receptors. On first sip I notice a rather warming alcohol flavor that gave way to dates, fruits, yeasts and then finishing with a nice dry mouth feel. I might have to buy some and lay it down for more anniversaries with my girlfriend.

Bottle at Rilesters flat, cheers Steve, 22/10/14.
Clear chestnut brown with a decent beige covering.
Nose carries roasted tones, toffee, dark fruit notes, fruit cake, light booze fumes, treacle toffee.
Taste comprises malt loaf, dark fruit rinds, spice, toffee, light cocoa rub.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with sweet licks and warming alcohol.
Solid Quad, doesn’t get too hot or cloying.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Belgian-style barley wine with thin white head and deep coppery amber colour, hazy; rich bouquet as a good barley wine should have, sweet and candied, vinous, candied cherries, pepper, ginger, honey, liqueur, citrus peel, full, sweet, even sugary and spicy palate with long, dry, warming liqueurish and herbal finish. Great sipper and so far the best in this series I tasted.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 33cl. Deep brown, ruby coloured with a medium off white head that stays. Aroma is lovely. I recognized fruits, sugar, caramel and alcohol. The taste is beautiful with a lovely bouquet of sweetness, bitterness, alcohol and lots more. Brilliant beer. Probably best at a cold winter evening at the fireplace.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20

330ml bottle poured in a chalice.
Well, I love Quads. Urthel makes it really well...
A: Beautiful cloudy amber color with a huge beige head. Good retention. Many small bubbles around and also many lacings left around
S: Very sweet and fruity. Plums and raisins are very relevant. Caramel malts, toffee and Belgian yeasts. Flowery hops. Negative point: Alcohol can be really felt in the end
T: Great beer! Sweet-bitterness Belgium pleasure. The upfront is bitter and sweet. The end is molasses and bitter. Very fruity: Again plums and raisins are very relevant. Bready (brown bread). Delicious Belgian yeasts and hops
M: Heavy body and medium carbonation. Molasses sensation and delicious hops bitterness
D: Excellent Belgian QUAD! No regret...

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark Amber color with a lot of deposit, minimal Head. Aroma of candies, cherry jam, liquor. Taste is quite sweet with notes of dried fruits, gingerbread, candied fruits. Full body, sweet aftertaste. A nice beer to end up a diner, a bit too sweet though.
