3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Japalo (754) - DENMARK - JUN 13, 2013

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Dorqui (1797) - Brescia, ITALY - JUN 10, 2013

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Shaney (1807) - Köln / Cologne, GERMANY - JUN 10, 2013
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 cmc619 (328) - California, USA - JUN 2, 2013
Leuven. Into Duvel glass - pretty huge pour as expected from this high-gravity beast. Pretty beer - big head on a ruby-brown liquid. Rich, malty, barleywine style aroma. A bit of well-blended alcohol in the finish, but its well-settled (not hot). G/f likes this one too. Need to have this again before I give it top rating!
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 visionthing (1725) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 13, 2013
33cl bottle from La Maison Belge, Puerto de la Cruz. Pours slightly hazy amber with a small off-white head. Fruity, malty and hoppy aroma with candi sugar, dried fruits and hints of yeast and alcohol. Sweet, full-bodied and vinous. Fairly soft carbonation, Lovely, desserty beer for dark and cold evenings, but enjoyable anytime. Well balanced, usually this would be way to sweet for me, but it somehow isn’t. Excellent and delicious quad!
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 RogertheKid (58) - Quebec, CANADA - MAY 11, 2013
One of the richest quad I have ever had. Almost a different taste with every sip, really enjoyed this beer!
4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 OKplus (549) - Oklahoma, USA - MAY 3, 2013
A - A 3 finger rocky head, tan in color. A clear ruby orange body. Uniform horizontal and vertical lacing throughout.
S - Sweet doughy bread, honey, toasted grain, Christmas spices-cinnamon most notable. Pears, oranges, pineapple,
T - Heavily candied/caramelized pale malt. Honey comes through very strong. Bruised apples, pears, pineapple glaze. The spices seem to hit every corner of the mouth and join in with the alcohol to burn the throat. Yeast is way more prominent in the flavor. It almost envelopes everything. Finishes spicy.
M - Full bodied. Heavy carbonation but rich and creamy and at times a bit syrupy.
This is the oddest Quad I’ve had to date. It reminds me more of a heavier Triple. There’s alot going on in this beer. Very complex yet incredibly drinkable. I loved it. It’s almost if there was ingredients in this beer that I’ve never tasted before.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bartlebier (523) - Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - APR 30, 2013
bottle on the house of Backdoor Cafe, Gent/put in front of my nose as I was cautiously working my way up from a lighter beer menu. Pours a heavy deep orange-amber. EU-hops, almost no alcohol, quad caramels, impressive thick mouthfeel. Most drinkable entente cordiale between amped abv, US-recipe hop dosages and inescapable Belgian caramelised fruits since DSB Shark Pants.
4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Lilja (992) - Malmö, SWEDEN - APR 16, 2013
En riktigt god belgare. Har väntat ett år på att att öppna denna flaska vilket gjorde den gott. Balanserad och väldigt smakrik och fyllig i sin smak.
