Totally clouded copper-orange with an almost annoyingly persistent enormous head. Smells like a Belgian alright. Yeasty and spicey, peaches and ginger. Light and lively body with a surprisingly unctuous finish - maddeningly quaffable. Flavors are floral, biscuit, lots of honey across the middle, melon, lemon. Nice stuff. brewblackhole (1370), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 9, 2004 Malty fruity, sugary, vanilla aroma, , malty fruity, apply sugar taste, not much different than Duvel, as good as any of the candy sugar Belgian Ales. Aftertaste leaves a pleasant sweetness on the tongue. Just a little thinner on the palate than most of the others. rlgk (3377), Vårgårda, Sweden

Flavor is fruity from grapes and sweet fruits, apples, creamy, malty and again with some vanilla in the background. Loddeer (171), USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2004 Good belgian, subtle complexity, becomes more involved as your drink, sweet, light, yet dark and savory. Wish it contained some more tasty sweet flavor and spice, but decent enough for now. A decent enough belgian treat. JCW (1262), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 23, 2004 Looks like a good triple, smells yeast and light candi sweet like a good triple, but it kind of missed the mark for me after that. Flavor is bubble gumish, very wet(as in eye blinking sweet).. Missing some of the fruit flavors and frankly could be a little drier. Sweet finish. bu11zeye (5442), Frisco, Texas, USA

Aroma of florals, fruits, and malt. Flavor of yeast, fruits, caramel, and spices. Nice balance and complexity. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 19, 2004 Light bronze. Multi-layered cakey cap of foam atop a bed of jagged bubbles. Coarse, peppery hop bouquet coupled with hints of dough, clover honey, herbal yeast, pear, and toasted malts. Extremely gassy. Loose, tonic-like carbonation. Airiness unites with a sweet & sour mixture of jellied white currants and malt whispers. Boisterously spicy hops are further amplified by the herbal yeast. Splash of juicy hops and pillowy malts continually tease the palate. Doughy yeast and coriander punctuate the unripe fruit tartness and partially thickens the body. Lightly toasted and biscuity sweet with flashes of tart peach esters splashed with heavy cream. Remains teasingly malty in the finish with a trail of musty yeast, juicy hops, and pear grit. This would prosper with more malt emphasis to lessen some of the airiness and compensate for the lack of body. Very pleasant.
