Apparently, the consumption of this ale will significantly halt the death of hair follicles, and let’s hope so, for I’ve got to hope something can shake the curse of male pattern baldness!
750ml bottle. Appearance: hazy, amber hued, incredibly large, flowing head, soft, white.
Aroma: a dazzling blend of sweetness and spice, fruit and booze (7.5 % isn’t "that" much, but I still feel a kick), puts me in mind of an Abbey Tripel, full of citrus and fruit, yeast and sugar.
Big, buzzing, initial attack on the tongue, fading fast, but returning anew, every
time lips meet glass. Light body, but everlasting flavor, long, ever-present finish. The spicy, fruitiness persists, and it’s quite an enjoyable beer, if a bit forceful at times! Fierce hoppiness never quits.

Has a kind of banana, malt, grass, wood, cardboard, and foam taste to it. The spice is good. High CO2. Legion nailed it-reminds me of a mild Duvel. I didn’t like Duvel, and this isn’t much better. legion242 (1577), Richardson, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 23, 2004 A very satisfying example of the style. Not nearly as spicy as the Duvel, but milder. Pretty foamy white head with nice lace. Very nice malt and spice balance. I would put this in my top 10 of the style with out a doubt.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 9, 2004 This pours a cloudy brown, fizzy with no head. Looks like apple cider, and the aroma is very strong with apples, sugar, and yeast. Not much really going on here, lots of apples and otherwise pretty boring. Drinkable at least.
