Apr 17, 2004 Thick, orange color (when yeast poured in), pours a huge head (3 times more foam than liquid)! Quite mild, malty and spiced aroma. Malty, slightly sweet flavor, nicely balanced with hops. Medium-bodied, very carbonated and quitte crisp palate. An average belgian strong ale, spoiled with overdone carbonation.

Mar 3, 2004 Bronze carrot color, lightly hazy with a nice carbonated off-white head and light lacing. The aroma has some notes of candi sugar and almost like peppers (vegetable) and some other spices with a present hop note. The flavor has some light dirty malts and alcohol kicking in with a nice balance of belgian flavors and complexities. Finishes spicy and tart. Very nice BSA, not as good as it's stronger brother though.

Dec 30, 2003 Hazy orange color,tall head that took some time to diminish,small amount of lace left behind.The aroma was Malty and fruity with a hint of yeastiness and spice.The flavor was malty again with a nice fruit side and hoppy spiciness coming on with a nice hop finish that is decently butter.One hell of a brew,nicely done with the whole brew being fairly well balanced and the alcohol making only a mild appearance at best.Very nice and well worth getting a bottle.
