Quite mild, malty and spiced aroma. Malty, slightly sweet flavor, nicely balanced with hops. Medium-bodied, very carbonated and quitte crisp palate. An average belgian strong ale, spoiled with overdone carbonation. BückDich (4832), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 3, 2004 Bronze carrot color, lightly hazy with a nice carbonated off-white head and light lacing. The aroma has some notes of candi sugar and almost like peppers (vegetable) and some other spices with a present hop note. The flavor has some light dirty malts and alcohol kicking in with a nice balance of belgian flavors and complexities. Finishes spicy and tart. Very nice BSA, not as good as it's stronger brother though. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
