14/X/13 - 75cl bottle @ home - BB: 15/VII/12 (2013-958) Thanks to Tinus for sharing the bottle!
Clear ruby red beer, big fluffy yellow head, aery, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty fruity, red apples, some caramel, bit lemony. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter hoppy start, bit fruity, peaches and banana, caramel, nice sweet touch as well. Aftertaste: quite a lot of dried fruits, raisins, bit of caramel, fudge, green banana, dark chocolate, bitter ending. Way better than I’d expected! Guess ageing this was the right thing to do, Tinus! :-)

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
750 ml bottle as Airborne Beer, poured into a tulip glass at home. ABV 6%
Orange in colour with a very tall white ead, froathy adn with low retention. At the end just a thin line stays around the glass’s walls, along with light lacing when swirled.
Lots of yeast on the aroma and candy sugar.
Taste also quite yeasty, sweet with sugar, and a hint of bitterness on the aftertaste.
Medium thin body, quite carbonated.
Not much to write about this one, just another belgian ale, an average one.

Bottle, labelled as Airborne Beer. Pours clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma is quite malty, caramel and some faint hops. Taste is quite sweet, caramel, some hops and slightly oxidized. Medium body and carbo. Bit too old and quite boring.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Kleur doet denken aan ice tea, de schuimkraag net zo. Smaak start zoet - denk aan aan perzik, abrikoos en caramel - en eindigt wat metaalachtig. Prima bier.

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2011 18th November 2007
Warning! Early amateur rating! Dark brown beer, quite sweet but has a bitterish finish. Not fruity for the style but decent.

Bottle at ’t Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Clear deep red - brown beer. Small tan head. Light fruity nose. Light dry palate, a tad soft. The malt tastes a little aged. Some fruit mostly generic but with a cherry just coming out on top. Neutral finish. Alright and 3.5 years after my original early rating - still a 3.4!
