Bottled. Clear ruby, extremely firm, rocky head. Buttery and caramelly up front. Sweet and soft with above medium body. Mildly flavoured of coffee and herbal spices, lots of toffee. Solid and quite powerful, yet remaining soft and edgeless. Really tasty!

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2007 (Bottle 30 cl) Very dark, almost opaque. Small, light-brown head that disappears pretty fast. Extremely complex aroma from the dark malts. Dried fruits like raisins, dates etc. Rather limited sweetness, some bitterness and a not overwhelming body makes this a very harmonious and easy-to-drink beer. 220405

Bottle, 6%. Caramelly aroma. Nice clear dark brown colour, red shine. Very small head. The flavour is sweet and malty, hint of roastedness, good alcohol level. Quite harmonious.

The winner of the best bokbeer of 2004 in the netherlands. Clear dar redish beer, wih a loose foamy head(bog bubbles. Nice fresh smell, little like apple, fresh taste aswell(probably due to the use of wheat) long aftertaste. Dry, soft bitters of roasted malts en hopps. Good value for money.

from crackedkettle.com - clear bright reddish brown colour with no foam; aroma of licorice, red fruits and chewy malts; sweet and fairly tasty, medium to full malt body; bitter-sweet finish leaving notes of malts, caramel, red fruits and a touch of alcohol

Dark reddish brown appearance with a quickly disappearing head. Sweetness is a bit overwhelming like in many mediocre bok beers. Slimy body and a stale aftertaste.

A Mes rate: 33cl bottle from Quinns. Sweet Belgian type nose. Good looking beer. Deep chestnut brown with a dark tan head. Dies quickly though. Bread and yeast with some liquorice and sweet malt in the flavour. Dash of hops for a bitter finish. Something lets it down a little, not usre what though. Not too bad overall, feels more chunky than a 6%.

Bottled: Red/brown colour. Light fluffy huge chocolatish head. Malts, cocoa and a light roastyness in the aroma. Liqourice, malt, hops and spices in the flavour. The beer ends in a heavy bitterness.

(on bottle)If I one day write a book on aromas, the chapter on "Cookie" is going to have a picture of this beer. Or may more "chocolatechip-cookie-dough". The taste is a bit more burnt and the finish still some more bitterness. Very smooth all the way through and a perfect session-bok.

Brown coloured brew. Aroma is very malty, roasted and chocolate. Flavor is very nice, sweet and malty. Chocolate and caramel. Overall a nice one, a little bit bitter in the end.
