Amber mid brown coloured with a fruit aroma. Slightly bitter crisp malt finish. imdownthepub (3937), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England Oct 25, 2004 Cask Conditioned at The Red Lion, Cropredy. Dark Amber beer with rich white head. This is a thick malty beer with a sugary biscuit base and a hint of fungus. Some dark forest fruit notes and a little bitterness, but overall very moderate. Clouded reddish amber hue. Mild biscuity malt aroma. Sweet shortbread malty palate, moderate fruitiness, very little finish.

Rich amber colour body, slightly hazy. Old malts soaked in stagnant pond water. Um...not a favourite.
Joeh (1892), Buckinghamshire, England Oct 13, 2004 Cask conditioned @ Oktoberfest, JD Wetherspoons, High Wycombe. Not go good. A little sweet, a little fruity & some bitterness but tasted perhaps like it’s towards the end of it’s life. I Didn’t finish this one.
