Bottled. Pasteurised. This was drunk in two parts. I started it last night, and I was thoroughly enjoying it, when I fell ill. My last words as I staggered upstairs to the toilet were "Save that beer in the fridge for me." And now I'm finishing it off. Of course, the oxidised flavours of a pastuerised beer are more apparant the next day when all the fizz has gone, but the firm mouthfeel, and the sultana fruits and brown sugar are still there. I should imagine this would be excellent in the cask.

Red-brown color, a nice thick head. Aroma is fruity. Tastes of carmael, maybe some kind of fruity caramel. Some bitterness in the finish. A little different but a rather nice ale.

(500 ml bottle). Ruby (rather: reddish brown) colour, very low head. Vinous aroma, full malty flavour, slightly alcoholic, good bitterness. Despite it being called a "table beer" (with robust foods) by the brewers, I would rather call it a typical "sipping beer". Recommended.

Amber color. White diminishing head. Hoppy caramel aroma. Caramel flavor. Notes of licorice in the flavor, truly malty.
