Nov 25, 2001 Slightly maltier than the Ruby, with notes of wood, caramel and smoke. The increased maltiness is balanced off by the woody dryness, which makes for a beer which is both bigger and easier to enjoy.

Nov 10, 2002 Dark amber color. Malt aroma, with sweet and fruity light notes; then some good hop; herbal, and some yeast. Malt, caramel, light liquorice; unimpressive; rather dry, average body. quite long palate, not enough aromatic.
