Pours a nice mostly clear mahogany color with a light beige, fairly small, quite fizzy, mostly diminishing head with no lace. Nose is filled with dust and lactic notes, and maybe some rich caramels far in the background. Flavor is a little better with some toffee, rich caramel, some toasted notes, and maybe some milk chocolate. Palate is medium, watery, and lively. Finishes with caramel and some mild lactic notes. One step above a drain pour.

Pours a clear dark copper color with healthy tan head and some lacing. Aroma is caramel, cherry and plum/raisin. Flavor is malty, caramel, some cherry and raisin. Medium to light bodied, nice long sweet caramel finish. A pleasant surprise!

Pours a deep amber brown color with a nice tan head and some good lacing. Sweet roasty nut and chocolate fruity aroma. Flavor is also similar, and sweet. Not bad.

Bottle, 6.8%. Fruity, vinous aroma. Nicely roasted flavour, creamy and vinous. Some port. Barley bitterness, but hidden by alcohol. Could have done with a lot less fruit.

500ml bottle. pours reddish brown with fluffy tan head. the lightest porter i’ve ever seen. the aroma has lots of sweet grainy biscuity notes along with undertones of chocolate syrup. flavor is sweet toffee, some milk chocolate, and lacks any balance. way too sickly grainy sweet. a lactic finish. blah.

Utenos Porter has a great color, nice but quickly dissapearing head and a sweet nutty smell. The flavor is sweet with the need for more chocolate malt.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown/deep amber with a dense orange/tan head. Aroma is malty and dried fruity. Flavour holds a chocolate to a roasted malt base. Lingering fruity note on top. Ends with a smooth chocolate and light acidic note into the finish.

50 cl. bottle on 2/06/2008. Deep mahogany with a healthy, dense off white head that settles slowly. Molasses, prunes, and a touch of chocolate in the aroma. Full body, medium carbonation, smooth and somewhat sticky. Caramel and chocolate flavors and maybe even a hint of licorice, sweet finish.
