Very malty sweet, caramel and slight chocolate nose. Flavor is dominated by chocolate malts, and rich caramel and just a hint of bittering hops. Moderately smooth finish. Really nice rich baltic. bu11zeye (5731), Frisco, Texas, USA

Doesn’t look like any porter I’ve ever drank before. The smell is very fruity and metallic with a touch of caramel. The taste is overly sweet with a mixture of rotten fruits and some stale caramel mixed in. Not a pleasant drink at all. hair-old (137), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 28, 2005 Bottle. Dark brown with tan head with medium retention. Light aroma of hops (saaz?). The flavor is sweet with a lot of caramel and some vinous notes. A bit licorice, but no roastiness or noticeable chocolate flavor as normally associated with porter style beers. Nice!. Powerful carbonation. Recommended. Panzuriel (997), Westerville, Ohio, USA
