Very disappointing. Porter? More of a fortified amber. Alcohol burn even though we are only taking a 6.8. Barely drinkable.

Pours a nice amber color with thick, frothy, tan head. Malted milk ball aroma with a sour, chocolately taste. Nothing like any porter I’ve tasted. Not sure if there is a differance between a Baltic and regular Porter but am willing to investigate as this has a good flavor.

Not sure I would even call this a porter... Transparent mahogany color poured with a nice thick frothy head but it was gone in no time without a trace. Flavour is a bit intense but flat, no complexity, too sweet, a bit oily and the alchohol burn is dominating everything. Was looking forward to a good baltic porter, should have had a Heavyweight...

500ml bottle: poured a dark caramel brown with a full beige head. Big sweet malty aroma with a touch of wood and bourbon. The flavor reminded me of dark fruits covered in choclate. Sure seems bigger than 6.8%. Medium body with a moderate sour finish. Good.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 SpringsLicker (2486) - Tennessee, USA - FEB 17, 2006
Light brown, clear body that lifts up a huge, light tan head of creamy foam that slowly slips into the glass below.
Sweet grainy malt aroma rises up to meet the nose.
A full bodied brew that is smooth and sweet with a bit of roast malt sharpness in the finish.

500ml brown bottle. Pours a clear mahogany color, with a light tan head. Rich malty aroma and flavor. Medium bodied, with a nice big malty flavor. Starts slightly sweet then goes to a dry finish.

Nice brown body with burgundy highlights. Fluffy tan head slowly recedes. Nice lacing. Aroma of roasted chocolate malt with a touch of coffee. Sweet malty chocolate flavors with a smooth finish. Body could be bigger but overall a pretty good baltic porter.

A very simple sylte porter of medium weight. Nothing significant about it at all. Alcohol is well hidden. I didn’t dump it but I wouldn’t buy it again.
