Aroma and taste also suprised me because of they were much fuller than I expected after seeing it pout. Lightly sweet, malty, caramel, some fruit and a little roasty. Light to medium body. Nice beer. boto (1352), Granby, Connecticut, USA

There was a fairly substantial tan head to it that dropped off fairly quickly. I wasn’t expecting the aroma that I got. It had very nice notes of toffee and caramel, without being overly sweet. Maybe a hint of fruits also. Medium bodied taste with some caramel malt sweetness. Slightly chocolate notes and hints of bitterness. This was good! DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 16, 2005 Dark amber (but light for a Baltic) w/ creamy almond head. Sweet, lightly chocolate, fruity (cherries, berries) aroma. Medium, relatively carbonated feel. Soft, sweet, well-blended and balanced flavour. A very quaffable brew. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 14, 2005 Pours impressive creamy top, brew it self is amber-ruby. Fruity, raisin, quiet sweet, touch of spice. Flavour resembles close to what aroma offers, maybe more plums than raisins. Medium bodied. Not sure if I would put this as Baltic. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 4, 2005 Bottled: Deep reddish brown colour. Clear. A medium sized brown coloured head on top. Malty, light roasted aroma. Some fruityness. Liqourice, roast, berries and some chocolate in the flavour. Not bad, but a bit too thin and onedimensional for my likings. The liqoruice is very dominant. Ends on a ligth bitter note. Alcohol is very obvious, eventhough the ABV is relative low. Better baltic is to be found. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 4, 2005 Brown / reddsih body with a tan head. Roasted malts and some chocolate bitterness in the nose. Thin watery taste with just a little coffee and some bitterness. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 1, 2005 Bottle poured a medium hued reddish/brown beer with an oily tan head... which did not last and left very little lace. Slightly toasty malt aromas were sweet and syrupy with tones of dried fruit (apricot, prune) and a spike of alcohol. Not too mysterious. Flavor started sweetly malty with a strong alcohol presence, turned lightly bitter with a sour hop taste then finished sweet/sour with light astringency and a grainy aftertaste. Held the typical watery texture of a porter but had some staying power. Good.
