I am a sucker for this kinda beer. Here goes: Pours a clear dark reddish brown. Aroma consists of dark fruits, malt. Mouth feel is velvety, dry, yet full bodied. Flavor is extreme dark fruits, raisins, plums, dates dipped in dark chocolate-- roasted nuts, malt. This beer seems to have thrown most people on this site for a loop because they don’t seem to be able to separate a Baltic porter from a regular porter.

Again, my grateful thanks to Cantabrian for this experience. This porter was sampled after a distinctly more muscular Baltic Porter and suffered because of it. It appears a hazy dark caramel with a temporary brownish head and aromas more dwelling on that caramel than its predecessor’s oil, salt and cocoa. The body was thinner and had, guess what, caramel to the flavour but was not unpleasant. Its finish was sweetish. An altogether different beast.

500ml bottle. Deep reddish brown with a fizzy tan head that quickly disappeared. Aroma is alcohol and caramel, taste is sweet, dark fruit, caramel and a little liquorice. Good, but not great

3.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500 ml bottle from Binny’s Marcie St. poured in an English pint glass. Pours dark ruby with thin dissipating head. Little aroma. Flavor is roasted caramel. Sweet but not cloyingly so. Very clean bock-like finish. No alcohol burn. Pretty good beer. One of the best Eastern European macro beers I’ve tried on my recent kick of them.

Fawn head, clear ruby body, dots and crochets as lacing.
A barrel of dried fruits to the nose, a very inviting bouquet.
Taste; powerful caramel malts, confectionery with lots of dark and dried fruits, some fermented fruits, small notes of syrupy bread. Ok body and normal on palate. Nice fruity finish. Overall a nice baltic porter, inclining to sweet.
I was a hobo in Marijampole Lithuania for one night to get this one, for sharing with a porter-loving specialist north of the arctic circle.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle. Pours a firm fawn-coloured head resting over a ruby-brown coloured body. Crocheted lacing. Sweet taste of dark and dried fruits. The taste character is also very sweet containing prunes, raisin, caramel, and apricot. Just a little bite of roastiness to the finish. Fine bodied. Nice, but far too sweet in the long run (kindly shared by djoeye, Tromsř 11.11.2014).

From a half liter bottle this stuff has a rather alarming volatile malt aroma. Big puffy tan head. First taste is not over the top but fer sure you know there’s alky in there. Yes, boozy is the word for the feel of this drink. Does not hide the alky well. Not sure what to think of this. I like porter but this must be a kind of Baltic porter if you ask me. Wew, almost has a gag reflex here baby. Some co2 keeps this from being flat. Not impressed.
