Užavas gaišais alus radīts, apvienojot labākās dzīvā alus darīšanas tradīcijas. Tā nemainīgi augsto kvalitāti apliecina dabiskās izejvielas – ūdens, apiņi, iesals, raugs. Alum piemīt maigi rūgtena apiņu garša un gaisīgs apiņu aromāts. Iekārojamu vizuālo raksturu alum piešķir izteikti saulaina dzintara nokrāsa. Užavas gaišais alus - alkohola saturs 4,6%, nesatur konservantus, netiek filtrēts un pasterizēts. Fasējums-nerūsējošā tērauda mucās un 0,5 l stikla pudelēs.

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2012 Bottled. Lightly hazy golden, small head. Dough and grass. Mid sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Some hay and grass. Mid bitter finish. Old rating.Bottled. Cloudy golden, small head. Overpowering offputting stale cellar aroma with powerful notes of diacetyl and butyric acid. Sweet and soapy with old Soviet style unclean flavour. The malt profile however is soft and would be pleasant if it wasn’t for the full array of brewing faults that completely dominates this beer. Very aggresive and oily. Too bad that the one Latvian brewer I’ve tried that seems to have any ambition also seem to have sever quality issues (1/4/2/2/4 - 1.3).

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2010 Keg (Alus Arsenals, Riga) Hazy light orange, small light head. Hoppy and malty - light grains. Very sessionable and pretty tasty. Very good for a light lager - a style I usually sneer at. (5:3:5:3:11=2.7)

Really fresh. So much more grainy than I remember. Smooth palate, lots of light grains in the finish. Delicious fresh.

Draught (Red Fred, Riga) - Amber in colour wih a slight haze and a small head. Grassy and slightly citrussy aroma with some hops and grapefruit. Clean tasting and refreshing. A good malt and hop balance and a fair amount of body for the style. The after taste has a hint of peach and passion fruit. Not bad at all.

0.5 l bottle. Golden color, OK head. Sweetish, honeyish and toffeish aroma. The taste has notes of malt, honey, herbal-fruity hops and medium bitterness. Soft palate. Clearly above average baltic lager with fair amount of hops.

Bottle, sourced in Geneva. Mid coloured lager with strong initial carbonation. Quite distinguished as a pale lager, decent enough malty base and then has a nice bitter hop finish. A tasty lager, also felt quite fresh. The bitterness made it very drinkable.

50cl bottle from Riga International Airport. Pours clear golden with a finger thick, but pretty fast dissipating white head. Moderate fruity and malty aroma with notes of honey. Moderate sweet with rather nice fruitiness and a light bitterness tingling in the finish. Rather nice for being a pale lager.
