13.11.2014. Clear golden, slightly orange. Aroma of smoke, malts, hay. Taste is quite light, malty lager with smoky notes. Quite smooth and soft. Easy to drink, prob fits to christmas table.

500ml bottle, thanks to Finn for sharing. Fair pearl white head remaining over a bright golden coloured body. Dotted spots on the glass. Smoked malty aroma, sausage like. Taste of sausage with fruity hops behind. Medium to thin bodied. Alright, however, I would not say that it fits the season (Tromsø 11.02.2015).

Flaske 500ml fra Kilpishalli. Delt med Rune på Nerstranda 11 Feb 15. Gyldenbrun. Lavt skum. God baconaroma. Beskjeden & behagelig. Smaken i samme gate. Antydning til frukt etter hvert. Ikke noe typisk juleøl - men kunne sikkert vært utmerket til røkt julemat.

Karhun korpisavun jälkeläinen. Nuotiomakkaralle sopiva. Saunapalvauksen makua. Vähän viskimäinen.

Kauge (657) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 23, 2014
Bottle as a gift from Espoo. Pours a slightly hazy yet strangely clear pale golden colour with a big white fluffy head, retains and laces nicely. Nose is grainy malts and greasy smoked ham, boiled carrots and turnips; tastes like a subpar lager with weak but quite balanced malt sweetness and herbal hop bitterness, also some of this smoked ham thing going on there in the background. Plasticky. Body medium, carbonation too, palate slick and oily (not pleasant), finishes with skunky herbal bitterness. Not a good beer. Glad to have tried it though.

Pours gold with white head. Aroma is smoke, cooked vegetables and malt. Flavour is smoke, bitter and vegetables. Something doesn’t match well together. There’s some puke aroma in there.

Erasmus_ro (1821) - Alabama, USA - DEC 5, 2013
Bottle, courtesy of TM. Pours a yellow lager with a decent, white head. Aroma is pale malts, a bit of smokiness in there. Taste is much of the same, a pale lager with pale malts, a bit of grass, some smoke. Alright.

RexTalionis (2985) - FINLAND - NOV 1, 2013
Bottled. Pours clear golden in color with a whitish head. Smoke, rubber, light notes of malts and honey in aroma. Smokey taste, old rubber and farmhouse cellar notes in taste. Some mildly smoked meat as well. Nice, didn’t expect this one to be that flavorful. Reminds a bit of the Spezial Rauchbier Märzen aus Bamberg actually. A bit lighter version obviously, but still there’s that same vibe again. Smoke, wood and ham to be more precise.

Tide (2160) - Espoo, FINLAND - NOV 1, 2013
Bottle from supermarket. Golden color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, smoke, hops, grass and salted crackers. Bitter finish with smoke and citrus. Good seasonal brew.
