Bottle at bar. Dark brown color, white head. Bitter taste with smoke, coffee, malts, nuts, toffee, wood and juniper. Nicely balanced body. Excellent IPA.

500ml bottle brought from Alko in Kilpis by Rune to our Rating Session 26.Oct.2011. Pours a dark ruby unclear body. Bonfire, bacon, forest and a hint of chocolate.Taste of slightly burnt bacon, tar, smoke, tobacco and juniper. Ends with a sense of blood- salt and iron. Very interesting and I really felt like camping!

Kaatuu lasiin mahonginruskeana ja hieman sameana, vaahto on 1,5 sormen paksuinen ja tasaisesti katoava. Hajussa on ei-niin-yllättäen savukinkkua, alla on mausteista yrttisyyttä ja sitrushedelmää. Lakritsin ja havun häivähdyskin saattaa olla joukossa, mutta kyllähän savu melko vahvasti peittää hajuja. Maku on jälleen savuinen, mutta nyt se makeampaa luokkaa. Paahdettu sokeri tai toffee on vahvimpana mielessä. Alla on luvattua katajaa ja lievää mausteisuutta. Suutuntuma on melko täyteläinen ja melkeimpä tahmaava. Onneksi kuitenkin hiilihappoja on tasaamassa makua. Jokin aina välillä vetää näitä savuoluita kokeilemaan, muttei tämä oikein vieläkään vakuuta. Maussa on makeutta, joka hieman "heikentää" savuisuutta, joka on hyvä asia. Tyylinsä parhaimmistoa, mutta ei savuoluet ei ole itselle se suosikkityyli.

Bottle. Dark brown color, near black with a minimal head. Aroma of smoke, sausage and peat. Flavor is mostly smoked ham.

500 ml bottle. Dark amber to brown, off-white head. Aroma intense, smoke, smoked meat/fish, alcohol, cheese, solvent. Taste: alcohol, lots of smoke, meat. Some woody notes, juniper? Hints of vanilla, taste is generally pretty sweet. Nice beer!

0,5l bottle at home. Pours clear dark reddish brown, tiny head. Aroma is combination of pleasant smoke and light juniper (first bottle I tasted had much more juniper in it) Nice aftertaste and palate. If you like smoked beers, you cannot go wrong with this!

Bottle at home. Almost black reddish color, small white head. Strong aroma of smoke, rye bread, grass. Dominating smoky taste, hint of juniper, roasty, sweetness, hint of alcohol, medium bodied. I think this would be better 7%.
