Pours black with medium-sized but quickly fading frothy head. Aroma of strong dark maltiness with notes of coffee, rye bread, salted licorice and even a hint of smoke. Taste is light sweet and very roasty. The rich malty profile is very promiment - flavours of coffee and other elements from the dark malty theme appear. The palate is medium bodied, could maybe be a bit fuller and would also work if a bit stronger. Still, this is a nice, roasted bock with a strong malty backbone.

Bottled (from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Deep coppery brown colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is roasted malts, some toffee and mild chocolate/coffee as well. Flavour is roasted malts, some slight bitterness along with mild chocolate and coffee. A bit thin as for the palate, but otherwise rather nice!

Smmell of chocolate and coffee. Black colour, light brown head. Bitter. Roasted, watery, aromas of tar, licorice, aftertaste of coffee. Sharp carbon that diminishes quickly.

Bottle from Alko. Part of small brewey beers selection spring 2013. Opaque black colour, small off-white head. Aroma has roasted malts and dark chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, licorice and some lactose. Nice full body, can’t taste any alcohol. Tasty beer and should be a VaSP regular.

50cl bottle. Pitch black light head that vanishes fast. Aroma has deep malt, cholocade and coffee. Nice balance.

Bottle from Alko. Dark brown color, beige head. Malty taste with chocolate, coffee, nuts, roasted malts and bread. Smooth body with mostly malts. Somewhat roasty finish with nuts.

Dark reddish brown, almost black colour with a small to average sized tan head. Roasted malt, metal and dark chocolate in the aroma.
The flavour is dry roasted malty with coffee, salty minerals and hints of liquorice. Very dry. Rather balanced. Quite porter-like. Not that Bock malty.

150213. Bottle at home. Pours dark brown with a nice frothy head. Aroma malts, nuts. Slight metallic aroma with some chocolate. Low palatee. Meh.

Bottle. Pours almost black with a medium, dark latte colored head. Aroma is an onslaught of stiff, dry roast. Very intense, schwarzbier-but-stiffer roast. Some coffee there as well. Taste is semi-dry with roast, some coffee and chocolate. Turns a bit sweeter as it nears the end. Palate is medium with quite a bit of carbonation.
