Clear golden color, white head. Sweet, sugary, marzipan, alcohol scent. Sweet, alcohol, warming taste. Smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness.

On tap in Moeder Lambic. Poured golden with a thick, lasting white head. Aroma of floral hops and spiced malt. Medium to full body, flavour is of nicely spiced malt and sweet berry fruit.

Ambrée cuivrée claire et limpide Nez épicé biscuité Douceur en bouche très porté sur l’amande et donc le massepain. Un bon machin de noël en résumé

aroma: zoet, wijn, fruit, peter en iets parfum
smaak: zoet, peper, hoppig.
matige body met bijna geen bitterheid,
mooi bier lekkere afdronk, had echter wel wat voller in de smaak kunnen wezen tov andere kerstbieren waarvan de meesten voller van body/smaal zijn. nasmaak is vrij kort.

Shared bottle from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. Misty golden bofy with a three fingers thick off-white frothy head. Wooden spicy Belgo yeast nose. Meaty, sweet spicy pungent flavors and medium to full body.

On bottle from Vnmonopolet Økern. Golden slightly hazy color, good foam. Good fruity aromas, some Christmas spices and nice ( Belgian ) yeast influence. Medium/ full body & high complexity. Some sweetness, well balanced . Very enjoyable

Pours a light orangey golden with a generous white head. Clean light malt and spices on the nose. Light bodied in the mouth with delicate ginger and some vanilla notes. Little trace of alcohol, some sweetness. Good.

Jolie étiquette avec l’abbaye aux toits légèrement enneigés, mais la figurine est un rien petite... Comme les degrés abv d’ailleurs : 7%, pour une bière de Noël, c’est un rien « juste »... Dans le genre étonnement, la couleur est aussi originale, que l’on appellerait ambre clair, ou blond foncé … Rares sont les Noël du genre.. Clarté limpide. Bulles par centaines mais assez grosses. Arômes où on trouve de l’orge accompagnée d’avoine, et des épices accompagnées d’herbes. Première bouche sur des épices fines et une pointe de houblon assez fine. Deuxième avec une pointe d’orange de Noël très appropriée. Troisième qui reste sur des épices originales, mais à mon sens pas assez relevées. Une longueur correcte, mais sans grandes envolées. Ce manque viendrait peut-être de la levure qui est assez « mate ». La finale n’est pas dans l’espérance que l’on peut mettre dans une bière de Noël, et c’est dommage parce qu’on n’était pas très loin... Je reviens donc sur ma remarque de départ : pour moi le degré abv faible a empêché cette bière d’aller fréquenter ses compagnes de Noël dans les hautes sphères...
