Bottle at home. Hazy light yellow with a large white head, nice lacings. Arome medium malty (caramel, notes of cloves), light yeasty (fruity). Flavor medium sweet, mediun bitter and soicy. Medium to full body. Rellay nice.

Gut!

(Val-Dieu Bière de Noël) Stubby bottle 330 ml at home, served into a big tulip, ABV 7% Deep orange colour on the body, hazy. Huge and thick white head on top, and sitting there for quite some time. Aroma of grains, light nuts, malts, yeast, apricot. Taste follows, grainy and kind of nutty, refreshing fruity notes following though with apricot and some peach, sugars. Medium thin body, high carbonation. Typical belgian ale with the high drinkability that comes with it. No spices or anything that people associate with Christmas as is the case with many of those belgian Christmas beers.

Bottle from Bierwinkel Voorburg. ’Val Dieu’ means ’Gods valley’. Color is light, like wheat beer. Carbonation is high. This beer tastes very good, 7% and yet complex. I love this Christmas beer!

What a nice beer. It is different form all other Christmas beers. I really love the Christmas beers, because they are all differs but all great. The beer has a beautiful amber color. The beer is very cloudy, which results in a satin look. The beer pours a very thick layer of very rough white foam. The bulk of the foam disappears like snow in the sun. Almost no foam remains on top of the beer. The smell of the beer is nice. I smell coriander, banana, some alcohol. The smell reminds me a little of weizener. It is very nice. The beer has a nice almondy alcohol taste. I also taste the coriander and the bananas, and some citrus fruits. The taste has a nice balance between sweet and bitter. The beer has a nice mouth filling sensation. Again, a very nice Christmas beer.

Bottle @ home from Geers, Gent - BE. Color: hazy blond beer with no carbonation and big white foam. Smell: sweet malt and belgian yeast domination. Cmall caramel and candied fruits notes. Taste: medium body, sweet caramel malt. sweet peach and orange notes. Really nice fruity taste but not so spicy for a X-mas beer... Good attenuation. Aftertaste: belgian yeast, orange and sweet malt.

From Uvinum. In La Trappe Chalice. Playing Unepic. Not much taste nor aroma here. Drinkable but not memorable.
