3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20Orange gold color. Very large beige foamy head. Long lasting head, it left a couple of foam caverns in the glass on several occasions. The aroma is malt with citrus and other fruity and a touch spicy. A medium bodied Belgian Strong ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Nice fruity esters with some spices. Very lively carbonation. The cork blew off as soon as I untwisted the wire around the cage. Nice beer. Very pleasant. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Appearance: Cloudy brownish color with a big bubbly off white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: A bit sweet fruity and spicy.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet. Light acidic. Low bitterness. High carbonation.
Taste: Plum fruity notes. Solid caramel malty background. Spicy.
Overall impression: Happy Christmas. If they had tuned down the sweetness a litte bit. It would have been a kind of state of the art Christmas brew. Tasty, strong and fresh.

Pours with a large head. Aroma of malt, huge spice notes including citrus peel, cinnamon.Overall its a great Belgian ale.

Flaske 0,33l. Førjulsgave fra Rune. Skittenbrun på farge. Veldig uklar. Veldig høyt skinnende hvit skum. Varer lenge og mye fester seg til glasset. Svak krydderaroma. Smaken er mer krydder men blir litt fruktig etter hvert. Plommer. I søteste laget.

Ein dunkelbraunes, leicht rötlich funkelndes Bier mit schönem weißen Schaum. Ein würziges Aroma nach Spekulatius, Nelke und Kardamom. Im Antrunk dann malzbetont und wiederum gut würzig, wobei alle Aromen gut miteinander harmonieren. Der Alkohol hält sich wohltuend zurück und tritt nur im Abgang wärmend auf. Ein tolles Bier, das wahrlich ein echtes Weihnachtsbier ist!

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Bert’s Bierhuis. Light amber with a big white head. Sweet fruity aroma and taste. not that special but decent enough.

Hazy light yellow with a large white head, nice lacings. Arome medium malty (caramel, notes of cloves), light yeasty (fruity). Flavor medium sweet, mediun bitter and soicy. Medium to full body. Rellay nice.

2011 vintage Bottle shared. Pours cloudy golden brown with an off white head. Aroma of malt, sharp fruit, caramel, spices, Belgian yeast and marzipan. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Full bodied with a dry mouthfeel and soft carbonation.

Bottled 750ml. -from www.beershop.hr Orange/pale amber coloured, medium sized airy white head, mild malty yeasty nose (no alcohol at all). Sweet malty, moderate fruity and slight yeasty with notes of spicy apples. Also quite offensive high carbonation. The last one (Ranke Pere Noel) didn’t have much of X-mas character but this one has even less.
