NoiZe (746), Zeist, Netherlands Apr 20, 2008 Hazy golden colored brew. Fruity aroma. Citrus, yeasty, smooth, creamy. Kinda nice. maeib (3816), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Nov 27, 2006 Draught - Swan and Rushes Leicester. A very hazy yellowy orange coloured beer with no head. The aroma is lemony with maybe a little ginger in there and ends quite phenolic. The taste is citrus fruit with some smoky and some sour notes. Weird in the mouth and not altogether desirable. reakt (808), Greater London, England Aug 28, 2006 Updated: Sep 2, 2007Rated 7th August 2005. This one’s great for a hot summer’s day. An easy replacement for a soda anytime. Sampled first from the Croydon Belgian Beet Fest...this rate comes straight from the bottle. The creamy white head goes the distance and the body rinses over the tongue so smoothly, you wouldn’t even notice the presense of alcohol. Citrus hints in the aroma and taste. Softer than Hoegaarden, fruitier than Celis. Val Dieu’s newcomer is my favorite wit so far. Svesse (1499), Hässelby, Sweden Apr 25, 2006 (Draught at White Horse, Parson’s green, London 22 Apr 2006) Golden yellow colour, hazy, dense white head. Somewhat closed nose with spicy hints of coriander and citrus (Seville orange). Full sweet/sour wheat taste with citrus and spices. The abv gives it some extra bite and some body. Rather nice, one of the better Belgian whites. JorisPPattyn (4247), Antwerpen, Belgium Sep 12, 2005 Drunk under the name of Blanche Trois-Ponts Huge dense white head; greenish tinted muddy yellow. Coriander, laurel, and another perfumed aroma - liquorice and wheat? Honey flavour, but without sweetness, much rather wheaty milk-acidity, little citrus, with a spicey, near-bitter background, and on the whole a very flowery character. A very good wheat AAMOF. Root spices, citrus and only some orange-like sweetness retronasal. Light to medium bodied, quite refreshing. A quite good witbier, which is a rare find.
