A beautiful blonde! Soft aromas and smooth, fruity taste. Creamy, silky head coats the glass, floating atop a nice hazy, golden body. Body and mouthfeel are right in the zone, making this a near perfect example of the style. Well played, Val-Dieu, well played!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 superspak (1480) - Michigan, USA - JAN 23, 2013
750 ml bottle into chalice, no bottle dating. Pours fairly cloudy golden amber color with a nice 1-2 finger fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Spotty foamy lacing clings to the glass, with a nice amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of apple, pear, apricot, grape, floral, grass, honey, bread, candi sugar, pepper, and earthy yeast esters. Very nice aromas with good complexity, strength, and balance of fruity/malty notes. Taste of pear, apple, grape, apricot, floral, grass, bready grain, honey, pepper, earth, herbal, candi sugar, and spicy yeast esters. Lingering notes of light fruits, floral, grass, honey, candi sugar, bready grain, herbal, earth, and yeast spiciness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice balance and complexity of flavors; with a nice malt/spicy ester balance; and zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a lightly slick, very crisp, and prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Belgian blond style. Damn nice flavor complexity and balance of fruity/spiciness; and very smooth to drink. This was a highly enjoyable offering.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Deu (395) - IRELAND - JAN 18, 2013
330ml bottle. Dark yellow and hazy in appearance. the beer has a fresh and a bit fruity aroma, quite a good one. Overall Ok, but there are much better belgian blondes.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Noctilucus (97) - All over Belgium, BELGIUM - JAN 15, 2013
Golden blonde with lots of long lasting white foam.
Not much of a nose, overall pretty light with some hops coming through. The taste is pretty much along the same lines but with more pronounced hops, yet not too bitter overall - I also seem to pick up a lemon touch, maybe something vaguely spicy like coriander. Medium carbonation.
There’s a smooth basis in the taste, keeping it from being too sharp, probably that’s the pilsener malt. In fact as a whole it comes across as a luxury version of a pils, pretty light and rather plain. For fans of light blonde beers, but I’m not one of them...
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 SamP01 (357) - New Jersey, USA - JAN 1, 2013
Pours a dark golden orange hue with a small short lived white head. Aroma of sweet ripe fruit apples pears, Belgian yeast with some biscuit malt. Taste of biscuit malt, Belgian yeast, sweet fruity notes, some mild citrus, light bitterness. A medium body, light crisp mouth feel with mild carbonation on the Palate. Finish is of biscuit malt, Belgian yeast, pleasantly fruity with a slightly dry ending. Overall a good, delightful drinking ale.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 a_cross (346) - Poole, Dorset, ENGLAND - DEC 24, 2012
Delicate, light golden colour, medium smooth white head; aroma of yeast and sweetish pale malt; well carbonated; some spice; light citrus taste - lemons, limes and bitter oranges all present; bitter finish; a fairly run of the mill easy drinking Belgian, ok for glugging.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 MarcV (22) - - NOV 26, 2012
Bottle from Belgian Beer Shop.com. The beer is golden blond and clear. It has got a large white head. The aroma is typical for an abbey blond: spicy, lots of yeast, fruity accents. The taste is very similar with yeast, fruits, sweetness and bitterness well balanced. Overall an easy to drink blond of good quality.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Brandman (1440) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 24, 2012
Hazy yellow body, white large head. Aroma has lots of toasty wheaty bready malt, very nice yeasty spicyness and some noble lemony hops. Really nice blonde indeed. That spicy yeast goes through aftertaste and thats basicly what Belgian blond is all about.
