UPDATED: APR 26, 2006 Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of spices and citrus. Flavor is citrus, fruit and carbonation. This is drinkable, but still a let down.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark golden with a big white head. Yeast and yacht varnish in the aroma. The taste has a fresh citrus bite and the beginnings of a bitter finish. Uncomplicated, easy drinking Belgian blonde.

Not sure why, just didn’t do much for me. Not a whole lot to it, really, thin, watery. Drank it right after a pretty sweet lambic with a high alcohol content, may revisit.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured a bright golden yellow color with a gigantic head that stuck to the side of the glass as it receded. Light citrusy aroma. The flavor is earthy, yet very light. Yeast, banana and a hint of spice. Very light bodied.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours gold with a huge white head. Musty, yeasty, and spicy aroma with bits of citrus and grass. A good deal of wheat, as well. Grassy, sweet flavor with a slightly sour and metallic finish. The sourness actually keeps this one from being too boring. Medium-thin mouthfeel. Not bad.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
pours hazy golden with a minimal white head, aroma of musty yeast, and citrus. flavor is off, musty sweet flavor up front flavor, sour finish, maybe a bad bottle, but nothing great here 2.5 1st bottle said best tasted by nov. 2004, ok second bottle not as bad loss of the must smell and taste, citrus and fruity taste more clear, maybe first bottle was from settement, but the second bottle was a lot better.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Whitish blonde yellow with a medium white cap of smoothly lathering foam. Rings of lace coat downwardly in patches.
Very prominent aroma of flowers that is brightly intense with a fine little touch of yeasty funk and sugar sweetness. A feathering of lemony orange floats around in there as well. Quite fragrant and pleasing.
Taste is much more sweet and evenly malted then the aroma gives way to. The flowery aspects are all but a drift along an expansive field of wheat sugared bready sweetness. Nice though. Pleasingly soft and delicate with a nice touch and go with the flowery notes.
Feel is well balanced and favorable smooth with a lighter medium-like body. Has an escapeability to its body thats ghostly full in its malt base. So soothing and soft to the palate its as if it were a liquid pillow of sugary bread and flowers.
A damn fine Blonde Ale; drinks down with ease and comfort.

Best by aug. 23 ’07. Pale gold, foggy. Small, frothy white head. Aroma of must, yeast, grains, malt, grass, corriander. Same flavor with a bit of hops in the finish. Nice balance of flavors and body with a dry, clean finish. Very good blonde. Why is there no blonde category?
