3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Light golden color with a small white head. Mild aroma of bread and spices.
Slightly sweet on first sip then finishing
dry with a hop bitterness. Unlike most
Belgians, this one I could drink a few
of given the moderate alcohol content.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Flying Saucer in Charlotte. An awesome-looking beer in a Val Dieu Belgian glass - hazy golden with a large white head. Aroma wasn’t too impressive, but the flavor was spicy; a taste that intensified as the beer warmed. The finish was sweet as most Belgians are. Quite good.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33 cL bottle, snifter. Straw and bread malt (M); herb and grass hops (L); dough yeast (M); banana, clove, pear and pepper aromas. Tall, frothy, white head is quickly diminishing and sits on a slightly hazy, medium gold body. Moderately sweet, heavily acidic, lightly bitter flavor becomes a moderately acidic, moderately bitter finish. A strange front and mid-palate bitterness mars a a clean and smooth beer. Medium-light body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: a light and tasty belgian with a touch to much acidity.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled. Golden with a nice well serviced, Belgian style head. Sweet perfumed aroma, gooseberry and rock melon. Smooth crisp palate, slightly fizzed. Good bitter length.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
The body is hazy pale yellow with a smallish foamy head that leaves good lace. The aroma is fairly mildly wheat malt with some horse blanket yeast aroma. Taste is rather uncomplicated fruity esters (banana, apple, and apricot mostly) with a lemony tartness and a spicy aftertaste. Feels weak and mild which is probably true to the style. A nice summertime pleasure when you don’t want something too challenging.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
[bottle] Golden colour with a nice, lasting white head. A balanced mix of flavours including yeast, hops and fruits with a touch of lemon in the finish and a creamy body. Everything works nice, but still, the beer lacks some character.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Belgian yeast, some sweetness, skunky tinge to the hops but mostly citrusy. Cloudy dull light amber with foamy white lacing head. Some particulate. Medium-heavy watery body with medium carbonation, clean after. Starts medium sweet, with notes of Belgian yeast, pale malts, apricots, and sugar. Finish brings in just a little dryness, but after remains sweet. Overall, a very mellow beer.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Blond color; creamy head. Quite poor aroma, like paper. Ordinary taste, quite dry and a bit spicy, but malty, like a simple and weak Triple.
