3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml. big 'ole brown Belgian bottle. Corked and caged. Best before date on cork of 09/04. Loud pop shoots the cork out into my hand. Very carbonated and lively beer here. Poured out an extremely pale golden color. Lighter in color then even Budweiser, which I find hard to believe. Thick, meringue like white head went the distance with my glass. Very tiny bubbles make up the bulk of the entertainment in the glass. Champagne like in every respect. Aromas are of fresh cut hay, sweet Timothy, yeasty bread, and slight clove-ishness to it as well. Peppery taste, lively mouthfeel, but a tad thin on the body. Hops are basically non-existent, both in aromas and flavors. Finished peppery, and tangy from the carbonation.

Golden color with a white head. The taste is watery and yeasty. I find it kind of boring.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2004 Bottle: Very carbonated... opened the bottle and let it sit for 5 minutes only to find that after a few minutes it was all over the table. Bottle pours a hazy yellow color with yeast visible floating througout. Head is a frothy white. Aroma is of the usual belgian yeast. Mouthfeel is very lively. Initially its a bit sour, but it quickly vanishes at the finish leaving a slight artificial sweetner straw taste. Nothing spectacular, but still enjoyable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tall white head on a clear pale yellow body. Nose of fruit, hay and yeast. Mild flavor of citrus, hops, hay and something undefined... Bitter and sour aftertaste.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pale, lemon-yellow with slight haze underlies a sparsely separated pillowy white head. Aroma of honey, coriander, slight yeasty funk and bay leaf. Flavor is light malt, macademia nut. coconut milk, and I swear, a little bit of fishiness (?). Warm, melting journey down the throat. Mild and enjoyable, but doesn't inspire awe. Thanks, Indra.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours amber with a medium white pillowy head. The nose is spice, some citrus zest, and grains. The taste was good. It was refreshing as well. Some sweetened malt, fruit, spice and more grain. Finished a little bland. I was expecting more. Decent beer, though.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a beautiful crystal clear golden body with a large tower of bleach white head. The aroma and flavor is of white pepper, wheat, lemon, yeast, lemon grass and wheat bread. The body is oily and smooth, rather crisp and dry apple finish.
Certainly not an overly complex brew, IMO; nonetheless it is rather pleasant and refreshing.
