3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours amber with a medium white pillowy head. The nose is spice, some citrus zest, and grains. The taste was good. It was refreshing as well. Some sweetened malt, fruit, spice and more grain. Finished a little bland. I was expecting more. Decent beer, though.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a beautiful crystal clear golden body with a large tower of bleach white head. The aroma and flavor is of white pepper, wheat, lemon, yeast, lemon grass and wheat bread. The body is oily and smooth, rather crisp and dry apple finish.
Certainly not an overly complex brew, IMO; nonetheless it is rather pleasant and refreshing.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I rated this beer before??!! With a 3.9er. I had it at the abbaye. What I can remember was it's fruitiness and its sweetness in a good balance with the hops. But I get back on this one.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Yeast, spice and citrus aromas. Hazy apricot colour, large billowy white head, much bubbling, lot's of lace. Malt flavour, with white grapefruit, golden raisins, and figs to boot, with some fine breadiness! Complex, sweet and well balanced. Wonderful! Also, many Thanks to Christian at Paris' Bootlegger for the Val-Dieu Chalis, merci mon ami.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours with a two-fingered white head that fades slowly and leaves some lace. A cloudy light golden color. Nose is on the malty side, I didn't notice any sour or metallic aroma as others have found. Starts malty, finishes nice and crisp. Good carbonation. Nice Belgian pale much better than an American pale.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
75cl corked bottle showing 05/05 on the cork. Clear golden ale with snow white colored head. Head is very creamy and looking like a tripel. Some alcohol in the aroma as well as berries and spices. Mouthfeel is clean and crisp and almost has a dry lagery type of feeling. This is actually a very nice Belgian Pale. Dry, fruity and easy to drink.
