3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Metalchopz (1173) - Quebec, CANADA - JUN 30, 2010
Sampled this beer at Auberge Douceurs Belges in Quebec City, September 2005. Poured a cloudy golden-amber colour with very bubbly lacing and a patchy coating. The aromas were grainy, nutty, with notes of floral and prune. There was also a slight sourness found in Flemish Sours. Medium bodied, between creamy and syrupy mouthfeel. Smooth and light. Slightly nutty taste that stayed all the way through. Mild bitterness and very mild fruit in the background. Nice nutty blonde ale with lots of aromas and flavours going on, but very light.
