Pours a dark mohagony with ruby highlights. There’s a one inch head that fades slowly to a thin cap, which never disappears, leaving behind a thick webbing of lace. Smell; this smells very strongly of plums and caramel malts. There’s a bit of a vinous quality, with some grapes and a bit of alcohol. As this warms some breadiness, and spices start to come out. Taste; starts off with dark roasted malts, choclate and caramel, and just a bit on the sugary side. The dark fruits come out nicely, but melds well with the little bit of alcohol that comes through. There’s a bit of spices, with some corriander and maybe some cloves, with a little hop bitterness thrown into the mix. Mouthfeel is medum bodied.. Even with the sweetness the drinkablitly is pretty high on this one.

Hazy brown with medium off-white head. Sour aroma and taste. Not great...but worth trying. Only a bit of sweetness, no developed malt tastes really.

Very sour aroma with fruit. Clear brown body, medium off-white head. Puckeringly sour flavour.

(0.33L Bottle) Pours a brown color with a small, lasting head. Aroma of spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. Some caramel notes in the taste as well. This is a simple, yet balanced and tasty dubbel.

Dark cloudy brown body with some sediment and a large frothy tan head. Sweet fruit aroma with some molassas and caramel. Slightly sour flavor with some fruit, caramel, molassas, and a touch of spice.

Aroma of warm malt. Nice brown color; something like mahogany. Very little head. Flavor starts a bit pruny, then defaults to nice brown malt, finishes with something lightly nutmegy? Good mouthfeel. Very nice.

3 bottle Gift pack. Dark reddish brown in color. Aroma of malts. Flavor of Dr. Pepper!!! Fruits, like prunes, and some nuts. A little too fizzy for a dark fruit cake . Still very refreshing. Not a mind-blowing beer. Very textbook for the style, I feel.

on tap. nice rich brune. First time i’ve seen this around and I was very please. Neither to heavy nor to sweet. Right where it should be with a nice malt flavor and a light bown color
