Bottle. Pours dark brown with an off white head. Raisins, brown sugar, chocolate, spices, marzipan, nuts. Smooth mouthfeel, sweet, slightly boozy.

Pours a dark brown with a medium-high offwhite head that leaves superior lacing. Nose is of dark fruits (raisins) and some candi sugar. Taste is sweet-ish and features more grapes and some burnt sugar. Body is medium and carbonation more than sufficient. Overall a nice dubbel, not too sweet or phenolic.

I’m more into the fruity and spicy Belgian beers. This dark brown beer with a light taste of rye bread is ok but not my favorite type.

Ordinary Belgian dubbel beer. Not world shocking, just decent and tasty. Like most of the others.

Couleur brune sombre, forte mousse cremeuse. Nez leger malté, levures. Gout doux de malt grillé, notes caramel légeres en fin de bouche.

33cl bottle shared with friends. Clear amber brown with an off-white head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Sweet with some bitter tones. Brown sugar, caramel, dark fruits, spices and herbs. A nice dark Belgian brew.

Refrigerated 11.2 brown squat bottle, best by date, July 14, 2014, poured into a Trappist glass. Pours clear medium brown with medium off-white head. Aroma is dark fruit, medium body, medium carbonation, and some small bubble lacing. Taste is sweet dark candy sugar, molasses, some dark fruit, and hints of chocolate. A little too sweet and more dark fruit would be better.

Mulled plum caramels, bit sweet and a sticky oily palate. Mid-brown with a frothy head.

Pours a minimal head that disappears in less than a minute. Hearty aroma suggests a robust beer, but on tasting its not overpowering. Smooth all around.

very bright aroma of caramel and plum... the taste is caramel and fruity, rather rich and intensive... aftertaste is dry and warming... very good dubbel...
