Bottle as gift @home Pours very dark brown with a medium creamy offwhite frothhead, nice lacing. Taste is very malty with some sweet tones of dark fruit. Maybe even a little cheese. Body is heavy, creamy texture. Medium carbonation. The finish is ver abrupt, a little bitter. Overall a very good beer, perfect for a dark, rainy night.

Cloudy brown beer with a thick, bubbly head. Aroma is rich and fruity though you can also smell the strength of it. Fortunately given the strength it’s one to savour than to guzzle anyway as it’s really quite sweet. Not especially sickly, the fruit flavours are quite natural rather than it being a sugary mess, but there’s a proper tanginess to it when you first have a swig. Quite light in spite of everything though.

33cl bottle. Strong dark beer, full of flavours. Caramel, raisins. A beige foam tops the brown body. Once my favorite, now a very lovely, yet very sweet abbey with great body.

Bottle from Yamaya. Ripe fruit aromas: sweet apples, raisins, and light brown sugar. Medium translucent brown, thick fluffy pocked beige head. Sweet fruity intial, yeast, dark fruit, a hot of alcohol, and a rather dry finish. Medium body. Tasty stuff. Moderate complexity.

Pours a brown colour. Taste is sugary and yeasty with some malt. A nice example of the style

Bottle from Yamaya. Hazy, rusty brown with a decent head. Malty, dark fruit aroma with a hint of nuts. Flavour is well-balanced. Good, but not great.

0.33 bottle. Dark brown color and a large, off-white head. Aroma of dark malts, raisins, some brown sugar, a touch of molasses, and a bit of metal. Taste is sweet, obvious malts, red fruits, some nuts, delicate chocolate. Medium body, slick texture, and lively carbonation. Finish is medium long and a bit sourer, otherwise rather uneventful.

Bottle 330 ml. Pours dark brown with thick frothy beige head. Aroma and taste feature malt, nuts, dark fruits, caramel and spices. Good balance. Very smooth. Surprisingly tiny mouthfeel. Good dubbel
