Good brown beer. I saw the brewery and have to say that it looked very good. The beer as a nice color, not to dark, just lovely brown. The taste was not clear but still good. The alcoholpercentage was not to high so I like it for once a week.

Bottle (33 cl) from beerplanet.be. Clear deep chestnut, medium beige head. Nutty and slightly roasted aroma. Medium bodied, moussy carbonation. Semi dry with medium bitterness. Ash tray after taste.

Beautiful aroma, also tastier than fuck. This bottle had surely been aged, and the right way.

Metal aroma, strong head, excellent bittersweet chocolate and roasted malts flavour.

33cl bottle Good white head. Amber pour. Nice dubbel. .

11/13/11. 750mL bottle. Deep brown pour, lots of red under the light, with a big, frothy tan head that cuts but laces a ton. Sweet caramel flavor at first, but there’s more in there... yeast, fruity esters, and a very small touch of sourness - almost grapey. Sweet caramel flavor as well but with roasted character, a touch of lemony sourness, and a definite alcohol touch as well. There’s an underlying sense of dark fruits and cherries as well. Not bad.

#194 Ein kraftvolles Bruin mit feinem, hefigem Schaum. Obstiges Aroma nach Pflaume und hefig a la Paulaner Hefeweizen. Im Antrunk vollmundig und wiederum fruchtig nach Steinobst. Mit jedem Schluck kommen mehr Geschmacksnuancen hinzu. Der Nachgeschmack ist leicht kaffeeartig roestig und nachbitternd. Eigentlich nippt man solange an diesem Nektar bis die naechste Buddel aufgemacht wird. Ein gehaltvolles Bruin mit Spassfaktor! Auf dem Grand Place in Brussel ist ja gerade Biermarkt und dieser Tropfen ist ein Highlight!

Val- Dieu Brune Pours dark hazy brown with a huge pillowy head and good retention. Aroma of alcohol, raisins, prunes and a little funk. Lots of malts. Flavor is crispy sweet with a thick malt profile and lots of dark fruits. Boozy, yummy. Me likey.
