Val-Dieu Cuvée du Vieil Aubel

Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow with bubbly white head. Aroma is a sweet alcohol and perfume, some spice or herbs can be noticed. Taste is a sweet grainy taste with a hoppy metallic finish.

Pale, (cold-)hazy gold; good just off-white head, leaving some lace. Neutral, hayish nose, a bit garden-herbs like. Cyanide-bitter, bitter almonds, going over immediately into more grassy flavours. Light bodied, certainly for its strenght, nothing too slick. What was the idea?
