The new masterpiece from the Val-Dieu brewery. A very complex and full-bodied beer with a long aftertaste. The brewmaster advices to cellar the beer for a year for it to unfold its full potential.

Fles 75 cl. gekocht bij Mitra Kaatsheuvel. Uitgeschonken in Westvleteren bokaal. Afdronk is warm alcoholisch, hopbitter, vrij hoge carbonatie, finish is kruidige gember. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Moderate to heavy toasted and nutty for the malt, light cooked orange for the hops, light broth for the yeast, with hints of raisin, toffee and a strong note of sherry. Head is average size, frothy/creamy, light beige, with thick yet slippery lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is dark brown. Flavor starts moderately to heavily sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes moderately to heavily sweet and a long light bitterness. Palate is medium to full, syrupy, with a carbonation between soft and lively and finishes moderately to heavily alcoholic and chewy. A sweet and savory Belgian Strong Ale with a nice alcohol zing.
