Dark brown clear pour with light tan head. Notes of raisin and a hint of alcohol in the aroma. Flavor of molassis and plum and cough syrup. Medium velvet body with a hot finish.

4 oz draft pour at Rustico Alexandria. Poured a pretty dark, cola color with a light brown head. Aroma was light funky notes, sweet, roasted malts. Light dark, dried fruits. A little bit of vinous notes hidden in there.

Very deep brown, practically this is black, light brown frothy head is medium lenght and leaves bit lacing. Sweet aroma has winous notes, green apple, fruity. Soft palate, sweet, medium body, fruity, long finish, dark fruits, green apple, alcohol but not disturbingly, sugar, mild spices. Tasty, nuanced, good flavors.

Sweet, chocolate, malty, and bit roasted taste. Sweet, bitter palate comes with nice carbonation. It?s not something i would drink everyday but for the moments u need somethong stronger than beer, try this one.

Cloudy brown color, big, creamy, staying tan head that left lots of lacing. Aroma of malt, yeast, some fruitiness, booze. Taste of malt, banana, yeast, brown sugar, some fruitiness, light booziness. Very sugary and very sweet. Full body, soft carbonation. Sweet but nice.

La Val Dieu Grand Cru est une bière brune d'abbaye de haute fermentation non filtrée et non pasteurisée brassée dans l'enceinte d'une abbaye (à l'instar des bières trappistes) mais par et pour le compte de laïques. Avec une robe marron foncée aux reflets rougeoyants typique des bières de style quadruples, cette Val Dieu Grand Cru se pare d'une mousse abondante de couleur beige, de ce chapeau s'échappe des arômes de grillé, de malt, de chocolat et de Porto. Une fois cette bière en bouche, on découvre des saveurs de torréfaction bien marquées et un houblon présent. Des notes sucrées évoquant le caramel et des notes douces de café et de noix sont parfaitement équilibrées par une amertume moyenne. Pour en apprécier pleinement ses qualités gustatives, Saveur Bière vous conseille de la laisser mûrir un an avant de la déguster dans son verre Val Dieu
