I tasted this tripel in the 3rd Brugges Bier Festival a month ago. Malty, hoppy and fruity aroma. Fruits, yeast and some spices in taste. Well balanced, medium sweet. Nice body and long lasting aftertaste. A nice tripel.

750ml at Brouwers. Pretty, creamy pour. Nose is huge honey and mead, sweet malt and freshness. Smells exactly like Serbian honey brandy actually (medovaca), which of course is terrific. Palate is velvety smooth and sweet, with plenty of honey following through. Slightly spiced, slight syrupyness. Very nice.

Sample from Jazz & Beer Festival, Århus. Medium head with good duration. Color is pale golden. Aroma and taste are rich with yeast, malt and fruits. Excellent trippel.

750, corked and caged. Pours a deeply hazy bright candied orange with a towering, sudsy, somewhat unruly platinum blonde head. Lots of wooly lace. Bits of cream, green apple, and dust knocking around the nose. Creamy body that goes a bit watery in places. Could use some carb. The tight head seemed to promise some tight carb but that doesn’t materialize. Green apple tart plus cream and a bit of graham cracker on the mid-palate. Mild creamy apple-y finish. Drinkable, but lacks crispness, complexity, originality.

TAP: orange pour, some spice on the nose. A little syrupy on texture, sweet taste and a dry finish.
