COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Val-Dieu Triple is the result of a long fermentation, scrupulously followed by the brewmaster. Its deep yet soft bitterness does not interfer with the discovery of its components. The taste of the hop comes through, naturally aromatized, accompanied by an alcoholic after taste. It can be associated with refined dishes and ranks among the great beers. It may be found in the some of the most exclusive restaurants.

Ingredients: Pilsen malt, Saaz and Spalter hops, sugar, live yeast, natural water from the region.

the aroma is citric with shades of dry wine... the taste is very bright with notes of lemon, green apple and spicy herbs... finish is dry and a little bit bitter...

Blonde orangée, petit collet blanc. Aromes typiques, pain, epices girofle. Bel équilibre, bien ronde. Une triple classique mais fameuse.

Blond yellow colour, a lot of white foam. Typical Belgian tripel. Taste is sweet with light bitter aftertaste. Floral and hoppy notes. Good, nothing special.

Decent tripel. Aroma of citrus, apple and some fruity hops. Taste starts off fairly sweet with a boozy aftertaste, again some apple and lemon. Nice brew. Definitely not the last time I order this!

Troubel licht geel kleurig bier. Smaak is wat vlak, niet uitgesproken intensief, echter wel lekker. licht bitter en fris. Gemiddeld bier.

330ml bottle bought at Belgian Beer International in Tsuen Wan.

Looks: Cloudy hazy dull light golden honey colour with bits of dirt-like yeast sediments. Two finger head with long lasting, crumpety white foams. Excellent and beautiful sticky lacing and fizzy small carbonation.

Aroma: Fragrant Pilsener malt, with ripe banana, vanilla, caramel, sugar, moderate alcohol, stronger Bel yeast, light earth, spices, and herbal grass.

Taste: Rich and sweet Pilsener malt, with apricot jam, light banana, potent alcohol, sugar, Bel yeast, faint earth, strong wood, light lemon, and light herbal hops.

Body: Mid to light body, quite rich and creamy palate.

Mouth Feel: Quite fat and creamy Pilsener malt, richer than Duvel. Dominated by pretty strong but tasty booze. Sugary with subdued sweetness. Ester is apricot and light banana. Yeasty and light spicy. Good…

Hoppiness: Light earth, spice and herbal grassy in nose and taste. Very low but testable bitterness for sweet-bitter semi finish.

After Taste: Fairly dry. Rich and very easy to mouth.

Comments: A decent Tripel, this one can be directly compared with Duvel - a strong Belgian Pilsener with deservingly richer body, great looks, creamier taste and excellent booze management. Down sides being a limited taste profile and has an somewhat stale feeling. Still, it has quite a lot of good things to build upon. Pretty solid and slightly above average, certainly worth a try.

Deep golden coloured beer, pretty hazy with yeast flakes. Showing a light white head. On the nose aromas of hay, grass, floral notes arise. It also shows hints of citrus and dusty notes. Light fizzy and light slick bit watery texture with a medium-full body. Light-medium sweet with a notch of bitterness. The finish is a bit sweet and dry and medium long.
