Val-Dieu Triple is the result of a long fermentation, scrupulously followed by the brewmaster. Its deep yet soft bitterness does not interfer with the discovery of its components. The taste of the hop comes through, naturally aromatized, accompanied by an alcoholic after taste. It can be associated with refined dishes and ranks among the great beers. It may be found in the some of the most exclusive restaurants.

Ingredients: Pilsen malt, Saaz and Spalter hops, sugar, live yeast, natural water from the region.

Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of banana, yeast, quite sweet. Sweet malty flavour, sweet banana. Finish banana. Not quite my kind of beer, too safe, nothing exciting really.

330 ml. bottle purchased @ Delhaize. BBF 23/07/2016. Hazy orange, small lacing white head. Nose is raw dough big time with powder sugar & lots of esters, green apple, odd & oddly inviting just like raw dough. Taste is a bit more standard, fish guts yeast with plenty of esters, green apple but still mixed with some sweetish raw dough, lightly phenolic & faintly medicinal,…. Yeasty & tad higher carbonation. In some ways overly Belgian for me but not without interest given the peculiar big raw dough sweetness & taste. Intriguing. Def. not bad even if a tad odd.
