Val-Dieu Triple is the result of a long fermentation, scrupulously followed by the brewmaster. Its deep yet soft bitterness does not interfer with the discovery of its components. The taste of the hop comes through, naturally aromatized, accompanied by an alcoholic after taste. It can be associated with refined dishes and ranks among the great beers. It may be found in the some of the most exclusive restaurants.

Ingredients: Pilsen malt, Saaz and Spalter hops, sugar, live yeast, natural water from the region.

From the corked, caged 750 ml. bottle. It says serve between 52-56 degrees. I am in that ballpark. Attractive but slightly carbonated yellow-orange pour with a modest white head. Some sediments toward the end of the bottle. The aroma is extraordinarily sweet along with the traditional Belgian yeast and toast and a sort of lemon-like zest. Maybe even a dash of honey. The body is medium and on the smooth, creamy side. The taste is malt and sweet forward with a honey like finish. Little to no bitterness. I enjoyed it but the over-the-top sweetness might not be for everyone.

Dit bier heeft een frisse, moutachtige geur. Troebel goud met een zeer mooie schuimkraag. De smaak is wat eenzijdig: sinaasappel(schil), weeïge mout en wat hop. Niet bijzonder.

Bottle from G&B, shared with the in-laws, Hammel, DK - Yellow fuzzy pour with big white slow dissipating head and clinging lacing. Aroma and taste is citrus fruity, yeasty and wheaty, some nice fresh citrus fruity prominence, light citric fruity spice, refreshing and very enjoyable, lovely.

Clear light amber colour with visible carbonation and a nice velvety white head. Smells like a tripel, which I always found hard to describe - Belgian yeast, flowers , malt and a bit of funkiness. The taste is sweet and spicy, with a maltier body compared to the typical tripel. No taste of funky brett or any other wild yeast in the mouth, and the carbonation just adds to the overall spiciness, making this beer feel very young and refreshing. A bit too sweet for my taste, and there’s a feint metallic taste that I find disturbing, but other than that this is a very good tripel.
