Val-Dieu Triple is the result of a long fermentation, scrupulously followed by the brewmaster. Its deep yet soft bitterness does not interfer with the discovery of its components. The taste of the hop comes through, naturally aromatized, accompanied by an alcoholic after taste. It can be associated with refined dishes and ranks among the great beers. It may be found in the some of the most exclusive restaurants.

Ingredients: Pilsen malt, Saaz and Spalter hops, sugar, live yeast, natural water from the region.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with small yeast sediments floating around. Chalk white creamy/crispy head. Yeasty dough like aroma with a whiff of spices. Flavour holds a soft and sweet deep caramel flavour. A light set of spices break this together with a minor yeast note. An astringent bitterness and herbal finish slowly turning more smooth for each sip. Nice.

The aroma is very sweet and very malty - a very simple aroma. The color is a clear yellow and it has a fantastic head. The flavor is very sweet and fruity with notes of peach, other fruits, and some sweet esters. All in all it is round and soft with a bite. It has a good palate.

6 litre bottle. Orange colour, with white mediumsized head. Aroma is smooth fruity with caramel and malts. Flavour is very smooth malts, fruits, some yeast and passionfruit. The passionfruit stays in the aftertaste, which also contains hints of earthyness, malts and some mouldy. Very pleasantly balanced.

Hazy golden color; big thick head. The aroma is soft, malty, a bit spicy; freshly cut wood. Good flavor, very sweet for a Triple, with a very light fruity touch and a very light trace of Belgian yeast; the sweetness and light spices produce an impression of liquorice. Almost missing bitterness. Not a typical one, but good.

Golden color; nice and persistent perlage, supporting a rocky foam cap, generous. Nice Tripel aroma, delicate spices and lemon zest. Reasonably good malty body, maybe not really dry and spicy as expected; with some sweet orange peel. The hopping shows quite late…

Bottle. It pours a quite clear body, golden-orange in color and topped by a dense, two-finger off-white head. Certainly Belgian on the nose, with fruityness, white sugar, a faint spiced touch and some yeasty hints. The flavor is on the sweet side, but quite plesant, with fruityness and some faint bitterness. Effervescent and quite dry on the palate. Although a bit on the sugary side, it’s a fine tripel. 120302
